~ Gabriel's suicide. |
Gabriel is a supporting character in the AMC series Into the Badlands.
He is one of the Clippers who remained loyal to Baron Quinn following the loss of his position as Baron to his son Ryder. While initially he is hesitant to devote himself to Quinn's anarchist cause, he is eventually fully brainwashed into the former Baron's cult mentality and is willing to kill in his name, and eventually even give up his own life to ensure Quinn succeeds.
He was portrayed by John Bell.
His Evil Ranking[]
His Villainous Deeds[]
- He poses as a house Cog during the Conclave meeting between the Barons in order to let Quinn's forces inside, and kills multiple Clippers when they catch onto what he is doing.
- He is sent to the Widow's territory in order to send a message to her and Sunny and break up their alliance, murdering an innocent Butterfly Clipper in order to do so.
- He blows himself up while in the Widow's territory, killing multiple people and himself while causing massive damage to the area and severing the Widow and Sunny's partnership by informing Sunny that she had worked with Quinn and lied to him about it.
Why Doesn't He Stand Out?[]
- His character is extremely tragic, having not initially wanted to stay as a part of Quinn's Clipper force only to be brainwashed into a killer. His death is also framed as horrifying and tragic rather than deserved, as he was manipulated into acting as a suicide bomber by Quinn.
- While he loves killing enemy Clippers, his actions do not even come close to the heinous standards of characters like Quinn himself or Pure Evil villains like Magnus.
