Dilly is a self-propelled barge that once transported Thomas and Annie through London. She showed them all of the notable sights on their way to meet the Queen. Later, Dilly transported Thomas to Australia and New Zealand. She later took Thomas and Annie through London again to take some passengers to Brighton.
Personality
Dilly is a friendly, enthusiastic barge, who is cheerful to everyone she meets. She is very knowledgeable about the famous tourist attractions of London.

Basis
According to illustrator, Robin Davies, Dilly is not based on any particular type of barge. However, she was inspired by the designs of a typical Dutch barge.[1]
