Skrapnel led the Insecticon battle squad into Goldbug's fortress to rescue Starscream from captivity. While frying Searchlight with his electric powers, he asked Venomif he missed the fighting, before giving him a joyful high five. Immediately after, Skrapnel and the others engaged Goldbug, who took out most of the team in mere moments. Skrapnel and Venom were left the last ones standing, but the former soon met his own end by being blasted in the chest by the warlord's cannon. The wounded Venom reached toward Skrapnel's corpse in his own last moments before Goldbug ended him as well. Shattered Glass #4
