Physical Appearance[]

Andrea Davenport - Render

Andrea is a fair-skinned teenage girl of medium height, with straight, waist-length hair that has been dyed light blue and fades into a darker, purplish-shade with bangs and a single, darker-blue streak on the right side. She also has freckles and almond-shaped cedar-brown eyes with long eyelashes.

Andrea also wore minimal makeup which consists of faded-purple eyeshadow.

Given that her eyebrows are cedar-brown, it is likely that this is Andrea's natural hair color.

Attire[]

Andrea wears a bright pink hoodie with white drawstrings and darker-colored cuffs, maroon leggings under a lavender pleated-skirt that is held by a pink-purple belt, white socks and light gray wide heeled boots.

Personality[]

Andrea is a top streamer, with many subscribers. She is very egotistical and quick to introduce herself to new people. Her tone is somewhat snotty and rude, but she is still remotely nice to newcomers. She gets irritated when people mispronounce her name (Ann-drea instead of Ahn-drea), even if it is accidental, to the point of having people get mistreated and outcasted over the mispronunciation. Most of the school appears to be afraid of her and willing to do as she demands, including her teachers.

She also takes immense pride in her family's department store business, and always seizes any chance to boastfully promote it through social media, filming and even in the school's talent show.

Nonetheless, it is later revealed that she is deep down extremely lonely, due to her father prioritizing money above her emotional needs and subsequently neglecting her. She, in fact, can be quite happy when he gives her the attention she needs. Moreover, compared to her father, she is more capable to show kindness and gratitude to people who have helped her before.

In "Davenport's on Demand", Andrea is shown to have guilt and remorse after her App was putting everyone out of business.

Background[]

Andrea is a top student at Molly's school, who is highly respected among her fellow students and most of the school appears to be afraid of her, even the teachers. She also worked as a commercial actress for her family's business, Davenport's before it was shut down.

Trivia[]

  • Andrea's surname is taken from Davenport, Iowa, which is where producer Britta Reitman grew up.
  • Andrea was originally planned to be a "simple mean girl" during development stage of the series. However, the crew later found the design of Andrea's character too boring, so they decided to add more traits for her personality instead. [1]
  • She was also going to have blonde hair in her early design, but it was ultimately scrapped for unknown reasons.[2]
  • Despite being scared twice by Scratch, Andrea still holds a strong belief that ghosts are fixated on her and that this is the reason why they try to frighten her.[3] In "Hooray for Mollywood!", it is revealed that Andrea actually has an interest in ghosts and believes that they should be loving and affectionate beings rather than frightening ones.
  • Despite seeing him twice and being aware of the existence of ghosts, Andrea was never properly introduced to Scratch before the end of the show. It's possible that she was supposed to learn about Scratch during the scrapped Season 3.
  • Andrea is revealed to be LGBTQ+ in "Davenport's in Demise", which shows her having a crush on a girl named Alina Webster.
    • This was hinted in the Chibi Tiny Tales short "Scratch, Molly's Third Wheel", where she is seen on a movie date with Alina.
    • After "Davenport's in Demise" aired, the episode's writer Sammie Crowley explained that Andrea would refer to her sexuality as "queer," since Andrea "might be into guys or other genders, too. She's young and figuring it out!"[4]
    • Had the series continued for another season, an episode titled "She Loves Me, She Loves Me Bot", would have focused on Andrea's relationship with Alina.
    • Then later, Bill Motz confirmed that she is bisexual.
  • Despite the fact that both Libby and Molly experienced shunning by Andrea and her classmates, Andrea is never actually heard to make any negative remark with anything but her tone.
  • It is revealed in "Davenport's on Demand" that Andrea is possibly disconnected with reality, however when it is revealed that others are suffering she is quick to try and remedy the situation.
  • It’s notable that Andrea is only explicitly a mean girl in her debut episode, most likely a result of the crew deciding to add more to her character because they found her boring initially.
