Oliver "Ollie" Chen is a major supporting character of The Ghost and Molly McGee.[1][2] He is a Chinese-American[4] boy who's the neighbor/boyfriend of Molly McGee and a ghost hunter. Ollie is the eldest child & only son of Ruben Chen & Esther Chen, and the older brother of June Chen.

Ollie is a Chinese-American teen boy who is slightly taller than Molly, with medium-length dark brown hair that has bangs that characters refer to as 'swoopy'. He also has almond-shaped black eyes and thick eyebrows.
Attire[]
Ollie wears a white shirt with a pale green collar under a blue jacket with a popped, darker-blue collar, light gray jeans and purple loafer-sneakers with white soles. He accessorizes with a gold chain necklace.
Personality[]
Ollie seems to be Molly McGee's ideal man, for on top of being well-groomed, he’s also the kind of person who puts as much passion into making the world a better place as she does via community work and spreading happiness, as hinted by how he looked at the pamphlets Molly created and said: "Whoever wrote these completely gets me."
However, much like the rest of his family, he's also passionate about ghost hunting, happily revealing it to Molly when she asks if he believes in ghosts. It's been revealed that Ollie has a sense of obligation to his family, as the reason they are ghost hunters to being with is because his father was terrified and traumatized by Geoff as a boy, and to that end, Ollie states nobody should live in fear like his dad had, thus leading to him and his sister happily going along with their "ghosts are evil" upbringing. However, Ollie is more open minded than the rest of the family, leading him to secretly question his path in life when he finds out Molly's secret yet doesn't mention it to his parents. After getting to know ghosts firsthand and because of how he feels about Molly, he ultimately decided to go against everything his parents ever thought him to help protect Scratch.
History[]
Due to his father's phasmophobia leading to the entire family believing that all ghosts are evil, Ollie had traveled cross country with them to every haunted location they've been hired to cleanse of the paranormal (even if it's just in the name of science), leading them to be internet famous... except when they aren't, as not everyone watches their online documentary videos. They eventually settle in the fancy house across the street from the McGee family, and the two families instantly click with their counterparts, thus leading to a complicated relationship between Ollie and Molly.

Trivia[]
- Like Molly, Ollie has arachnophobia, as in a fear of tarantulas.
- Ollie is the second major character outside of Molly's family to know about Scratch's existence, after Libby.
- Had the series been picked up for a third season, Ollie would have become the new Chairman temporarily for the season.
- In wraith form, Ollie has orange ectoplasm, which is similar to Molly's "golden joy energy", but is not as bright and vibrant. Orange is also the color that the otherwise green ghost Blair turns into when she's having an emotional breakdown.
