Akuma kicking Cammy in the face using Shuretsuzan.
Executed by pressing Light Punch and Light Kick, (the throw command) and pushing backwards near an opponent. Akuma first grabs his opponent by the collar. As he pulls them towards him, he pivots around his opponent, switching sides in the process. After releasing his opponent, Akuma delivers a side kick to their face, sending them tumbling over on their stomach.
Tactics[]
Throw attacks are mainly use to get pass an opponent's defenses if they are constantly guarding. It is also an effective way to put his opponent back in the corner. Shuretsuzan can be used to reset the neutral game and create separation between his opponent. However, while this move does slightly more damage and stun than his forward throw, Akuma won't be in position to reapply pressure due to the spacing of his back throw. From afar, he can still zone out his opponent with his projectiles, such as Gohadoken and Sekia Goshoha.
