Description[]

MicPerformance

Executed by pressing Medium Punch and Medium Kick simultaneously, R. Mika pulls out her microphone and cut a promo that inspires others or gets herself pumped up. If Medium Punch and Medium Kick are released during her V-Skill, R. Mika ceased her promo and throws her mic at the ground. Once R. Mika finishes her promo uninterrupted, she points to the sky and tosses her microphone, ready to resume the fight with her increased intensity.

Tactics[]

The primary purpose of R. Mika's V-Skill is to amplify the damage all of her normal throws and command throws, starting at a 20% damage increase. Depending on the level of intensity R. Mika uses her Mic Performance, she can increase the damage of her throws to at least 1000, which is more than enough to KO a number of characters in one move. While achieving the max level of R. Mika's V-Skill to obtain the highest damage output seems unlikely, she can use Mic Performance to make her command throws even scarier. Furthermore, her next command grab can be cancelled into similar to Zangief's Cossack Muscle.

Mic Performance
Moves Base Damage Max Damage
(with V-Skill)
Daydream Headlock 140 1260
Sell Down 140 1260
Dream Driver 120 1080
Wingless Airplane 130 1170
Rainbow Typhoon 180-200 1680-1800
Brimstone 120-140 1080-1260
Peach Assault 360 2745

During her monologue state, she is able to absorb one hit from the opponent and can also cancel the speech at any time by letting go of the buttons, causing her to fling the mic at the opponent. R. Mika can throw it further by holding forward. While it may seem unpractical, the microphone can be used to start a combo with the increased throw damage in her arsenal ready to be used.

Unfortunately, using this move leaves R. Mika vulnerable. Her opponent can easily interrupt R. Mika's promo with one of their throw attacks or a fast, light-confirm combo. In addition, she can lose her power-up if she whiffs a normal throw or a command grab.

Trivia[]

  • This move is what a majority of professional wrestlers and fans call Cutting a Promo. A promo is used to help the crowd identify or dislike a wrestling persona, advance a storyline, or (in R. Mika's case) engage with the audience. This is also similar to G's Message To The People, which helps build Critical Gauge.
  • If R. Mika's max level is combined with Dan's Legendary Taunt, it inflicts 13050 damage, although the Attack Data reads 9999 damage. This is the highest damage output that can be achieved.
