- "What—what happened, Arlo? This place looks like a Star Destroyer used it for target practice. Yet—all the domes are burst from the inside-out!"
"Scan for life forms, Wadie. See if anyone's still alive."
"Don't get your hopes up, partner. Whoever's responsible for this did a pretty thorough job." - ―Wadie Firestone and Arlo Tyre
Wadie Firestone[3] was a Master Scout for the Rebellion and a partner of Arlo Tyre.[2] Shortly after the Battle of Yavin,[3] both men were dispatched from headquarters[2] to Alashan[1] to investigate why a Rebel archaeological station had missed three routine communications.[2]
The pair found bodies outside and Firestone observed that the domes appeared to have burst from the inside, despite looking as though Star Destroyers had blasted them. Tyre told him to scan for life forms, but Firestone was not hopeful that they would find any. Instead, his scan detected an energy field inside the main habitat dome that he could not identify and suggested that they call for help. Tyre disagreed and told Firestone to back him up as they investigated further. However, Tyre was soon struck by an energy beam and killed. Firestone attempted to shoot and blow up the dome without success, then launched in his modified Y-wing scout-fighter, intending to get word back to the Rebel Alliance. The same mysterious energy beam blasted his ship and killed him.[2]
Equipment[]
On Alashan, Firestone carried a porta-scanner and armed himself with a rifle blaster and proton grenades. He wore a flight suit with an accompanying helmet.[2]
