Synthsilk was a type of fabric that was used to make fancy clothing. Unlike some other leaders of great importance, Galactic Emperor Palpatine shunned elaborate synthsilk clothes, wearing plain hooded robes made of zeyd cloth instead.^[1] The Resistance pilot Tallissan Lintra wore a synthsilk scarf gifted to her by her father.^[2] Landonis Balthazar Calrissian wore a cape with a synthsilk interior.^[3]
