- "Balada had some old Sith armor lying around. Just needed a couple little touches to make it my own."
- ―Rieve
Sith armor was a type of armor used in the galaxy that shared its name with the Sith,[1] an order of dark side adepts.[3] By the time of the Imperial Era,[4] by which time the Sith had long since given up on filling their order with many followers to instead keep themselves to the Rule of Two,[3] Sith armor was considered an artifact.[4] In 5 BBY[5] during the Imperial Era, the collector Luthen Rael had at least two partial suits of Sith armor in his possession in his Galactic Antiquities and Objects of Interest shop. One set was kept out in the open in the front with other items for sale, while another suit sat with additional inventory in the back.[2] Another helmet, without the rest of the gear, also sat in the back.[6] Between 9 ABY and 34 ABY[7] the New Republic Era,[1] avid collector Balada the Hutt[8] had a suit of Sith armor that saw no use. Rieve, who took part in the Hunters of the Outer Rim[1] competition sponsored by Balada[9] with the stage persona of a Sith Lord,[8] found the Sith armor and modified it to her liking, creating the Starcrossed Punk suit.[1]
