Jake Bartok is an Australian comic-book artist and illustrator. Bartok illustrated the short-story anthology Stories of Jedi and Sith, released on June 7, 2022.[5]
Before being hired by Disney–Lucasfilm Press to illustrate Stories of Jedi and Sith,[5] Bartok was known for Star Wars fan art, including a series reimagining characters from the franchise in medieval times dubbed "Knights of the Olde Republic."[3] Bartok's involvement in the short-story collection was announced on StarWars.com on October 7, 2021.[5] Two of his favorite characters are Obi-Wan Kenobi and the young Anakin Skywalker, whom he was able to draw together for the 2024 audiobook Padawan's Pride.[6] The same year, he provided the cover artwork for the audiobook The High Republic: Seeds of Starlight.[7]
Bartok also illustrated the covers for all four issues of the 2024 comic miniseries Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures – Dispatches from the Occlusion Zone,[8][9][10][11] as well as the one-shot comic The High Republic Adventures Phase III - The Battle of Eriadu].[12]
