The Eaduan village cluster was located on the Outer Rim planet Eadu during the Imperial Era.[1] Although Eadu had a hostile and rainy climate,[3] the southern hemisphere, where the village cluster was located, had fertile soil and was less inhospitable than the northern hemisphere. The village cluster had about 2.5 million inhabitants,[2] nearly all of Eadu's population. The villagers were mostly farmers and nerf herders,[3] which Eadu was known for.[4] The inhabitants were unaware of the significance of their world,[3] which was the location of a top-secret laboratory where research was conducted to create the superlaser for the first Death Star.[1]
