Depatar[1] was a discreet smuggler[2] and black-market spaceport located on a planet[1] near the Lost Souls asteroid field in the Outer Rim Territories. According to Inferno Squad commander Iden Versio, it was the only spaceport close enough to the asteroid field for starships to travel to for emergency repairs after they had traveled through the field.[2]
Between 3 ABY and 4 ABY,[3] Inferno Squad were hunting Beilert Valance as he had observed secret Imperial information about the construction of a new Death Star. After the Edgehawk, the ship of the crew of the bounty hunter T'onga, who had rescued Valance from Darth Vader, went into the Lost Souls at the suggestion of Zuckuss, Inferno Squad were unable to maneuver their ship, the Corvus, through the field. Versio suggested that they let them go as she knew about the spaceport, and suggested they travel to it, knowing the Edgehawk would need to go there for repairs after being in the asteroid field. After Zuckuss successfully navigated the Edgehawk through the Lost Souls, T'onga suggested they go to the spaceport for repairs, unaware that Inferno Squad were already there waiting for them.[2]
