Brikal shells were the of blue shells of the brikal, an arthropod native to the Outer Rim planet Dalna. They were used religiously by the Path of the Open Hand to mark their faces with a pigment they made with the crushed shells, chalk, and a binding agent. The Path considered anything that shared the same blue hue as the shells to be a good omen.^[1]
