KCA Weekend was an annual event with new episodes from their shows, leading up to their Kids' Choice Awards, every weekend in the spring in the United States and internationally.

The first KCA event was held in 1987. SpongeBob was first featured in the 12th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in 1999 as a "sneak peek," but didn't premiere officially until July 17. New episodes would first premiere in 2004, and it would span from 2006 to 2008 and 2011 to 2016.

No new SpongeBob episodes were held since 2017, not counting the premieres of "SpongeBob's Place"/"Plankton Gets the Boot" as they were part of the Saturday Morning Hang Zone with Lincoln Loud.
