The second season of The Patrick Star Show was announced on March 21, 2022. The season was originally announced with 26 half-hour episodes.[1] On July 12, 2024, the number was shortened to 13 and the remaining half was converted into a season 3.[2] Season 2 premiered on July 26, 2023 with the episode "The Patrick Show Cashes In" and ended on July 25, 2024 with "Cleanin' House."

On April 8, 2024, Rough Draft Korea published an article about their animation process, including images of some staff members working on shows. A few of these images come from season 2 episodes of The Patrick Star Show.[7]

Trivia[]
- This season is the most in-order of the franchise in terms of airing in the proper packaging order with every episode having aired after the previous.
- Just like the fourteenth season of the main show, this season was originally set to premiere sometime in 2024.
- However, on June 9, 2023, the season was rescheduled to premiere on July 26, 2023 with "The Patrick Show Cashes In," being moved forward for a debut by at least six months.
- This season ended exactly a year after the previous season ended.
- This is the third season in the franchise to have no specials, the first two being season 1 and 10 of SpongeBob SquarePants.
- This is the first season, where Gary and Pearl didn't appear at all.
- This is also the first season, where Mrs. Puff didn't appear physically, appearing only on a picture in "Chum Bucket List."
- Because of that, this is the first season without Lori Alan and Mary Jo Catlett's involvement.

- While not the first season shortened overall, it was the first season where Nickelodeon split the packaged seasons in half from the production cycle.
