Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26th, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress known for her wide vocal range. Grande began her professional career by performing in the 2008 musical 13. She rose to prominence with the role of Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious (2010-2013), and its spin-off Sam & Cat (2013-2014).

Grande signed with Republic Records in 2011 after the label's executives discovered YouTube videos of her performing song covers. She released her debut album Yours Truly in 2013; the album peaked atop on the Billboard 200 and spawned the hit single "The Way". Grande's sophomore album, 2014's My Everything, also topped the Billboard 200 and featured four hit singles-"Problem", "Break Free", "Bang Bang", and "Love Me Better".  2016's Dangerous Woman became Grande's first number one album in the UK, Austrailia, Brazil, Italy, Ireland, New Zealand, Spain, and Taiwan. Grande's fourth and fifth albums (2018's Sweetener and 2019's Thank U, Next) blended her pop-R&B sound with trap influences. Sweetner won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal album, while Thank U, Next  featured hit singles "Thank U, Next", "7 Rings", and "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored".

Grande was featured in the song "Faith" from Illumination's Sing.
