Hamlet Dane, Sr. is a pre-made, unplayable deceased ancestral Sim who resided during his lifetime in Veronaville, one of the neighborhoods shipped with The Sims 2. He was the husband of Gertrude, the father of Hamlet Jr., and the grandfather of Cornwall Capp (né Dane). He is completely unplayable and only appears in the family trees of his descendants.
Hamlet Sr. has no memories of his wife, and although he has the memory of WooHooing with Mystery Sim, he doesn't have the memory of Hamlet's birth. So basically apart from the WooHoo memory, he only has Create a Sim memories.
According to Hamlet Sr.'s SimDNA in SimPE, his hair was blond before it turned grey. Unusually, he has the hidden Power aspiration, as well as a hidden Grow Up aspiration token. Hamlet Sr. has a hidden pregnancy modifier token.[1] According to SimPE, Hamlet Sr. recognizes Benedick Monty as his grandchild.
Hamlet Sr., and his son share the name of the title character in Shakespeare's Hamlet. His name is from Hamlet's father, the king, who was also named Hamlet. Dane or Danes is also the ethnic group and nationality native to Denmark, which Shakespeare's character Hamlet was the prince of Denmark.
