Daybreak's introduction.

Daybreak is the secondary antagonist of the Midterm Exams arc of Spy x Family. He is a highly incompetent, yet ironically lucky spy who runs a private agency in Ostania. He considers himself the rival of Westalian spy, Twilight and desires to become as famous as him.

What Makes Him A Shonen Rival?[]

• Anti-Heroic: He hopes to expose Twilight and stop him from remaining a threat to Ostania (Keep in mind that the SSS and the government see him as a threat to the country).
• Honorable: Daybreak seems to be genuinely loyal to his country which is why he opposes Twlight.
• Naturally Talented: Despite his general incompetence, Daybreak is actually incredibly strong physically as shown when he was able to hang on to a pole sideways and even knock out a disguised Twilight for a notable period, with the former feat even impressing Twilight himself.
• Arrogant: Daybreak considers himself a worthy opponent to Twilight and believes he is Ostania's greatest spy, even when he's really not.
• Pursues a Big-End Goal: Daybreak hopes to carve a legacy greater than that of Twilight.
• Irritable: Daybreak gets visibly upset when facing setbacks.
• Is A Serious Threat/Villain: Daybreak is the only Ostanian spy who knocked out Twilight cold without the latter being wounded prior to the attack.
• Short-Tempered: Daylight has a tendency to lose his composure when things don't go his way as he expected, such as when he realized there was a guard to the safe and when he was fired.
• Wears Blue/Black: Daybreak wears a black suit and a blue sweater underneath.
