Affiliation[]
Atlas[]
Carmine is originally of Atlesian descent and was raised in the kingdom. Despite claiming she simply had surface level reasons to leave such as the Atlesian uniforms, Bertilak Celadon claims she abandoned Atlas to avoid the pressures of being used as a tool for a dictatorship.
Shade Academy[]
Carmine is a graduate from Shade Academy. However given her affiliation with The Crown and her strong sense of loyalty to Gillian Asturias, it's likely Carmine has little loyalty to her former school and held no remorse in undermining and destroying it to accomplish her goals.
The Crown[]
Carmine is an affiliate of the Crown. It's evident that Carmine herself has a strong sense of loyalty to the organization due to her constant support and loyalty to the groups goal of overthrowing and taking over Vacuo, However it was later implied that Carmine herself was only loyal to one of the groups leaders, Gillian.
Bertilak Celadon[]
Bertilak is Carmine's partner in crime in RWBY: After the Fall, in which the two traveled from Sumire in Vale to the kingdom of Vacuo in order to deliver their quarry without any issues.
During their travels, she acted as something of a voice of reason between the two, her cool head serving to temper Bertilak's more hostile personality. Despite this, the two share an amount of friction and constantly bicker with one another, in which Carmine holds a more dominant personality in their dynamic. Carmine and Bertilak's friction comes to a head in the end of RWBY: After the Fall, when Bertilak mistakenly believes Carmine had turned on him, attacking her and venting his frustrations. The two are arrested in Coquina, but later escape with relative ease.
Later after escaping imprisonment and returning to The Crown, their relationship actually turned sour when Carmine deflected all the blame of their mission's failure on to Bertilak in order to escape punishment. Leading him to be punished by the Crown's higher ups and transformed into a human aura battery for Gillian Asturias's personal use for their future operations as he was forcibly placed into a artificially induced coma for about a month.
Eventually upon Bertilak's being freed by Sun Wukong, Velvet Scarlatina and Octavia Ember he was more than happy to help them and switched sides in order to bring the Crown down and specifically get the chance to kill Carmine for her betrayal.
Eventually after the Crown's defeat and Carmine having been supposedly been killed by Octavia via explosion, Bertilak investigated the site were she was "killed" and found her remaining sai and greatly doubting Carmine actually being killed, Bertilak swore to hunt her down and finish her off himself and disappeared into the desert to track her down.
Gillian Asturias[]
During her time studying in Shade Academy in Vacuo after transferring from Atlas, Carmine had befriended and become close to Gillian during her years in Shade Academy, having become close enough to her to the point that she gave her a nickname of "Queenie" and fully supported her in her ambitions.
This is seen where Carmine had apparently joined Gillian and her Twin Brother Jax's organization of "The Crown", and fully supported them in their goal of taking over the Kingdom of Vacuo, reestablishing the Royal Family and the two reigning as the King and Queen of the Kingdom.
However, as implied by Carmine, she herself never really had much loyalty or drive for the group's goal and was instead exclusively loyal to Gillian herself instead of the group, this is seen where Carmine had placed herself in several dangerous situation in order to protect her and later she would prioritize saving her after Octavia had triggered a dust explosion and flinged Gillian to safety using her semblance instead of saving herself, showing how strong her devotion to Gillian was.
Carmine herself stated that she truly believed in Gillian and later stated her belief that Gillian would make a excellent Queen and make Vaacuo a better place.
Team CFVY[]
Coco Adel[]
At first, Coco expressed romantic interest in Carmine (or at least a strong physical attraction towards her), and the two got along well, in which Coco found Carmine to be just as if not more fashionable than herself.
However, once Carmine's true goal of human trafficking under the Crown was revealed, Coco had nothing but disgust towards her, muttering to herself that she couldn't believe she'd ever found the other woman attractive. Coco and her team arrest Carmine and her partner.
Others[]
August Caspian[]
Carmine initially pretends to be a Huntresses with a good will hired to protect Gus and his grandfather, Edward Caspian. During this, she and Bertilak escort the two from Sumire to Vacuo, defending them from any potential threats in the form of Grimm.
When Bertilak attempts to take Gus' grandfather away, Carmine awkwardly comforts him, assuring the young boy that her partner will find Ed. Carmine later attempts to kidnap Gus once she realizes he is the target with a power Semblance, taking him away in a dust devil she conjures. However, she is defeated and arrested before she can accomplish her mission.
Edward Caspian[]
Like August, Carmine initially poses as a Huntresses with a good will hired to protect the Caspians from the Grimm as they take the two to safety. Whilst Carmine and Bertilak were very protective of Ed and his grandson, the elderly Huntsman eventually came to realize they had dubious intentions, taking the two to Vacuo instead of west as hired to do so. Ed attempted to use subtle distress calls to warn others of Carmine and Bertilak, and believed they didn't act like real Huntsmen.
Slate[]
Carmine and Bertilak begrudgingly help the former mayor of Tuff travel to Coquina along with Team CFVY, only to keep their cover as well-meaning Huntsmen. While Slate saw flaws in both of them, she respected their protective behavior over the Caspians.
