Criticism[]
- Many games are criticized with artificial difficulty, quests being interfered with by people regularly playing the game in SharkBite, Bad Business, and Vehicle Simulator.

- Piggy, Sharkbite, Bad Business were criticized because the quests always being interfered with by people regularly playing the game

- Dungeon Quest was criticized because the lanterns part was too hard to find out the hidden code. Now the game added the code next to the portal so that you can easily find it. Some criticism was received during the Winter Seasons because the river would freeze to make the players not being able to go through the gate.
- Mobile players with no access to PC or laptop devices criticized Vehicle Simulator since many cellphones often crash the game, thus prevented them from obtaining Rick's Boombox which also prevented them from completing the event.

- Some games, like Mad City, Epic Minigames, and Tower Defense Simulator, also had fake badges that were intended as red herrings.
- The hub has an in-game shop like other events.
- All of the items cost Robux, but cannot be bought in the Marketplace.
- The Helm of the Rip Tide portal was initially opened by exploiters. The legitimate solution to obtain the Helm of the Rip Tide would only be discovered hours later.
- On December 3, there was a bug that caused the final two portals to be opened. This led to the players obtaining The Meta Star and the MetaPhones earlier than intended.
- There was a glitch where if you had "The METAphones" badge, deleted it, and rejoined the hub, you would be rewarded the badge again which made it seem like more than 777 people got the badge when that wasn't the case.

- Some of the quests were eventually nerfed.
- Piggy - Originally, you needed to wait until 5:00 in-game time for the first knock(s) to appear. It was quickly changed to 7:30 a few minutes after the event's release. Additionally, the final segment with the keypads originally had a piggy that would chase you and could kill you.
- Robloxian High School - Originally, it required 6 players to sit in specific chairs to get the key. It was later nerfed to require only one player. The final obstacle course also experienced some nerfs - the final teleport area was made wider, portions of the course were made easier and checkpoints were added.
- Bad Business - Originally, you were only given three lives and zombies were fast. Now you have 10 lives, the zombies walk slower, and if you crouch you can't die.
- Sharkbite - Originally, after breaking the yellow cracks, you needed to type "you're gonna need a bigger boat" in the chat while standing in front of the Jaws painting by SharkBiteFan7 to get 4 super buoys. Today, you don't need to type it out in chat and can just press a button near the painting to get 4 buoys. The final boss also experienced a nerf - the final stage initially had both the laser wall segment and the falling rocks. It was changed to another laser wall segment a day after release.
- Dungeon Quest - Before a revision, you were required to complete a morse code segment involving lanterns at spawn after you collected the 7 gems. This was later removed, and instead the code appeared at the gate. The quest dungeon was also heavily nerfed. The timer was increased to 15 minutes, the obstacle course section was made easier and the boss's damage, attack, and heal rates were lowered.
- You can still do the event's missions and get the accessories.
- Between December 27th, 2022 and February 12th, 2023 It was impossible to finish the event completely due to the Dungeon Quest event integration being temporary removed because of the in-game Christmas event. After the event removal, the old map was added back and players were able to get the badge again. The Chaotic Top Hat became unobtainable again in October 2023, but is now obtainable as of an unknown update.
- This event is one of the longest in terms of being able to complete it fully.
- Even though you can't see it in the event tab anymore, you can still get most of the items from the games.
- The only exception is Bee Swarm Simulator's How to Program BASIC, which has been made impossible by its update for The Classic. It is currently unknown if this was an intentional removal, or a mistake.
- As a result, the Meta Shades have become unobtainable as well, unless the player had previously completed at least this quest.
- The only exception is Bee Swarm Simulator's How to Program BASIC, which has been made impossible by its update for The Classic. It is currently unknown if this was an intentional removal, or a mistake.
- There is a reference to 1x1x1x1 with a painting of his symbolic face hidden on one of the walls in the hub.
- There is a secret door with hardly noticeable handles on one of the walls in the hub. The use of this is unknown; it is speculated to be 1x1x1x1's hideout during the event.
- The icon of Robloxian High School's disguised badge is the Pet Egg from Wizard101.
