Synopsis[]

After Black and White arrive, the Cures get back to fighting the giant Shadow and they manage to force it back into Bell's dimension before following it into it. Michiru and Kaoru also join them. The monster tries to make it way back into town when suddenly Shiny Luminous appears and closes the portal. The Cures then continue to fight the Shadow, but it still proves to be too powerful.

As it continues, Luminous finds Bell in town and asks her if it was worth it to harm good and innocent people in order to protect it, but Bell doesn't respond. Meanwhile, the Cures' attacks still have no effect on the Shadow as it instantly regenerates after every hit. Bell then broadcasts the battle on TV, showing everyone how the Shadow was born from their emotions and it will be unstoppable if they don't strengthen their hearts. The townspeople don't know if they could do anything, and their negative feelings make the Shadow even stronger, blasting Dream away with ease. They then start to cheer the other Cures on after seeing her defeated, but Bunbee tells them they're the ones who should be doing something, but they still believe there is nothing they can do, which strengthens the monster even more.

Still, Dream believes that everyone should just do what they can at that moment, even if things look hopeless. By combining their powers, they can change the future. The other four Yes! Cures join her as a giant butterfly starts to appear and they declare their resolve to never give up and to keep trying. The other Cures combine their powers to strengthen the five others. The townspeople have now been encouraged and their desires to protect the future manifest into lights that combine. The Yes! Cures then use their new attack, Butterfly Effect Shining Dream, to finally destroy the giant Shadow.

The Cures return as the portal between the dimensions starts to close again. Bell then appears before them and says she still doesn't trust humans, but as long the Pretty Cure exist, the future could still change for the better. She changes forms before bidding farewell to the Cures and returning to the future. The Cures are relieved that the town is saved and they start to talk to Black, White, and Luminous. Suddenly, Dream's Time Flower completely wilts, causing her to turn back into Nozomi and fall into a coma.

About a week later, the town has returned to normal and everyone who was unconscious due to the attacks have recovered. Karen is back working as a doctor, Kurumi quits her job to become Palmier Kingdom's prime minister, Rin's boss approves of her latest design, Urara's play is about to begin, Saki prepares to leave for Strasbourg, and Komachi continues to tend to the town's garden. Michiru and Kaoru walk through town and notice that there are still people who remembered the battle and are still working hard to help the town and improve it. Milk arrives at Palmier Kingdom and tells everyone they all have to think of ways of making it better and declares herself to be prime minister. The other fairies start suggesting ideas and Milk loves them all.

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Nozomi still hasn't woken up after a week and Karen tries to figure out why, but there is still hope. Kouji comes to visit Nozomi and tells her how he had given her hope before admitting how he loves her very much and wants to be with her. He takes Nozomi's hand and cries when the bell in the clock tower shines, waking Nozomi up. She tells him she needs him in order to be happy and will do her best as long as she has him. Kouji then proposes to Nozomi, and she accepts. Just as the two are about to kiss, the other Cures walk in on them, but they quickly close the door and let them have their alone time. At Palmier Kingdom, another Time Flower starts to sprout, with Nuts thinking it could help them predict future dangers.

At Café and Bar Time, Nozomi learns that Nagisa and Honoka have gone off to try and help the Amazon rainforest and Arctic Circle respectively. It is then that Nozomi proposes changing the name of the "Pretty Cure Drinking Party" to "Meeting for the Future", and everyone agrees. A montage shows what everyone is now up to, including Rin visiting a third-world country, Komachi and Mai helping with community services, Urara doing a news report about disaster preparedness, Karen still helping Nana with her recovery, and Saki meeting new friends in France. Milk, Nuts, and Syrup help to restore the Doughnut Kingdom while Nozomi and Coco get married. Nozomi later receives a letter from Rumi, who says she started a dance club at her new school while everyone watches Sanae giving a speech at a peace conference. Lastly, Nozomi gives a lecture to her class about what needs to be done and what they can do to make a better future.

One night, a drunk person selfishly throws an empty beer can on the ground, clearly not caring for others when the can becomes covered in darkness and red lightning flashes from it, indicating that Bell could be angered again.
