Jared Turner

Jared Philip Turner is a New Zealand-born Australian actor who voiced Whiger in Power Rangers Jungle Fury and portrays Tarrick/Void Knight/Void King in Power Rangers Dino Fury, and later reprised his role in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. He also had a small role in Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.

Biography[]

Turner is best known for his roles as Ben Maddox in Go Girls and Ty Johnson on the television series, The Almighty Johnsons. He is also recognized on New Zealand television as the most of the Energy Spot commercials. He is seen in the Amazon "Joy Is Made" commercial.

Personal Life[]

• Turner is married and has four children, two of who are his step-children from his wife's previous marriage.^[1]

• He played a main role in the New Zealand TV Show The Almighty Johnsons with his co-star Emmett Skilton and his Dino Fury co-star Josephine Davison.
• In an interview with Morphin' Network, Jared Turner revealed that voicing Whiger in Power Rangers Samurai was so demanding that he nearly lost his voice. As a result, he stated that he would not take on another Power Rangers role in a professional capacity.
• Years later, Jared Turner was offered an audition for the role of Void Knight in Power Rangers Dino Fury. Initially, he declined, stating, "I worked on a show with heavy prosthetics, and I didn’t like it, so I’ll pass on this one." However, the casting director was persistent, convincing him to audition. He later received a callback with Simon Bennett, whom he had previously worked with on The Almighty Johnsons. Turner ultimately landed the role, reassured by a promise that there wouldn’t be excessive prosthetic work involved.
• Turner voiced Eligos in Ash vs. Evil Dead. Eligos was a terrifying demon summoned in Season 1, known for his eerie appearance and brutal attacks. Turner’s performance added to the unsettling nature of the character, showcasing his versatility as a voice actor, despite previously mentioning the strain that certain roles had put on his voice.
• In the same interview, Jared Turner revealed that he knew very early on that his character, Tarrick, would be revealed as Amelia’s father in Power Rangers Dino Fury. However, he had to keep this secret from Hunter Deno, who played Amelia, for a long time. Eventually, she either found out or guessed that Tarrick was her character’s father before it was officially revealed.
