Father!! (おやじぃぃッ！！ Oyajiiī!!) is the eighth episode of Gosei Sentai Dairanger. It is the conclusion of a two-part story regarding the battle with Archbishop Saw and his servant, Iron Face Chouryou, as well as Chouryou's true identity; and introduces the second combined form of the Mystical Qi Beasts: Dairen'Oh.
Synopsis[]
Shocked by the revelation Zhang Liao is his father, Ryo tries to figure how a traitor could be connected to him as Archbishop Saw takes matters into his own hands.
Plot[]
Having revealed Ryo as Chouryou's son, Master Kaku assures him that he is not being deceived and he stands down, before walking away.
At headquarters, Ryo tries to rationalize that Kaku is lying, but he confirms it to be true. Kaku explains in Chouryou's 6000 year life, he met a human woman 20 years ago, and had two children: Ryo and Yoko. When Ryo's father supposedly died, he actually returned to the Gorma. Ryo hesitates to believe that Chouryou is his father, and runs off.
Ryo is at a beach trying to deny the truth, when Chouryou arrived and talked with him. Chouryou tries to convince Ryo to leave the Dairangers, but he refuses. Chouryou states the next time they meet, Ryo will die. Before he leaves, Ryo asked why Chouryou married Ryo's mother. Chouryou walks off without a word.
Later, High Priest Riju punishes Chouryou for not finishing the job when the Triumvirate appears and mocks him. High Priest Riju transforms into Archbishop Saw, and swears he will deal with the Dairangers himself.
At a restaurant, the Dairangers contemplate if Chouryou being Ryo's father is true. It is then Ryo appears, telling them not to worry. Ryo still denies that he is his dad, saying they will just finish him off like any Gorma Minion. It is then a building explodes; when the Dairangers arrive, they were teleported elsewhere. They face off against Archbishop Saw. The Dairangers transform, and fight the Gorma, and tries to use the Qi Power Bomber on him, but the attack was reflected back at them. Archbishop Saw tortures Ryo while Chouryou watches. Unable to watch any further and hearing his son's cries, Chouryou attacks Archbishop Saw and impales him. Archbishop Saw breathes fire on him, and escapes. Chouryou falls to the ground and Ryo runs to him. With Chouryou dying in his arms, Ryo finally accepts him as his father. Chouryou, in his last breaths, says he can never give up on love, and ask for forgiveness. He sees the spirit of his friends, and tells Ryo the Lai-Lai Jewels hold a power that is still yet unknown. Chouryou's body disappears as he finally dies.
Archbishop Saw appears as a giant, and they Dairangers transform and summon their Mythical Qi Beasts. RyuseiOh transforms into Warrior mode, and the Dairangers decide to use their new powers. They form Dairen'Oh, and faces off against Archbishop Saw. With a few quick slashes, Dairen'Oh performs the Raging Hurricane Waves attack, destroying Archbishop Saw.
Returning to the shore where he and his father spent time in the past, Ryo recalls him one last time as the four other Dairangers and Master Kaku watch over him.
