PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond (Japanese: ポケパーク2 BW ビヨンド・ザ・ワールド, HepburnPokepaaku 2 BW Biyondo za Waarudotrans. Poké Park 2: BW - Beyond the World) is a game for the Wii. It is the sequel to PokéPark Wii: Pikachu's Adventure. Like the previous game, the Player takes control of a Pikachu, but they can also play as either an Oshawott, a Snivy, or a Tepig. Besides a new PokéPark, there is a mysterious realm called Wish Park to explore.

Plot[]

The game starts with Zekrom and Reshiram discussing an upcoming disaster that threatens two worlds from their respective realms. However, Reshiram sees a sign of hope that can stop the disaster.

Meanwhile, Pikachu meets up with his friend Piplup who invites him to the PokéPark. As the two make their way PokéPark, Pikachu learns how to perform basic actions such as dashing and jumping. During the trip, Piplup challenges Pikachu to a game of Chase and gives him a PokéPark Pad to record the friends he makes. Just before the two reach the PokéPark, a Timburr appears and asks Pikachu to help him with his training by blasting him with a Thunderbolt and battling him. After Pikachu wins, he and Pliplup enter the PokéPark and arrive on Seasong Beach.

Seasong Beach[]

When the two arrive, Piplup notices a large group has gathered and goes to see what is going on. The two find a Krokorok and Sandile are promoting a place called Wish Park. Piplup decides to check out Wish Park, but before Pikachu can join him, he is stopped by an Oshawott, who deems Pikachu to be suspicious. Piplup vouges for Pikachu and Oshawott drops his suspicions and introduces himself before running off. The two keep going and meet up with Krokorok and Sandile near a strange poster. The two open up the poster and reveal a mysterious portal that takes Pikachu and Piplup to Wish Park.

The Mysterious Wish Park[]

When the two arrive at the mysterious Wish Park, they discover they are in a mysterious place made out of cake and sweets. A Gothita appears, welcomes the two to Wish Park, and guides them to the area's attraction, run by a Cofagrigus who explains that his attraction involves making a cake that can be eaten after it is cleared. After the two clear the attraction, they prepare to eat the cake they made, but a Pansear stops them. Pansear reveals everyone who's eaten the cake is behaving strangely and points out they are all in a trance. Cofagrigus appears with some Yamask and force-feeds Pansear some cake, putting him in a trance as well. Cofagrigus prepares to do the same to Pikachu and Piplup, but Oshawott appears and stops him. Oshawott reveals he has been searching for missing Pokémon who've disappeared into Wish Park and demands to know what Cofagrigus's goal is. Cofagrigus claims he is merely making Pokémon happy, but Oshawott reveals he knows they are being put in a trance and decides to tell the Cove Area Keeper, Samurott, about what's happening and tells the others to run. Pikachu defeats the Yamask when they try to stop him, but the voice of Cofagrigus's unknown master declares Cofagrigus has failed and that no Pokémon shall escape Wish Park. Two giant hands appear from the sky and try to capture Pikachu, Piplup, and Oshawott, but the three make a break for the portal. The hands follow them and trap Pikachu and Piplup just they reach the portal and Piplup crashes into Pikachu to push him and Oshawott through the portal. Pikachu and Oshawott return to Seasong Beach and the portal to Wish Park closes.

Oshawott tries to cheer up a depressed Pikachu by telling him that Samurott assigned him to investigate disappearing Pokémon and invites Pikachu to join him when he makes his report to Samurott. The two speak with Samurott and Oshawott reveals what happened in Wish Park. Samurott is surprised the mythical Wish Park is real and asks Pikachu to help stop the disappearance of Pokémon. Oshawott argues he can handle the situation himself, but Samurott declares that Oshawott can only do so much alone and suggests he battle Pikachu before making his decision. Pikachu wins the battle and Samurott tells Oshawott that Pikachu's help can allow him to accomplish far more than he could on his own. Oshawott understands and joins Pikachu as a pal, agreeing to work together until the kidnapped Pokémon are rescued. Samurott suggests the two find Krokorok and Sandile to learn more about the portal and Oshawott suggests asking the knowledgeable Alomomola for their whereabouts. When Amolomola is asked, she agrees to reveal where Krokorok and Sandile are if she is beaten in Chase. After she is beaten, Alomomola reveals Krokorok and Sandile are in Cove Town and they are trying to take them to Wish Park.

Cove Town[]

The two try to go to Cove Town, but Timburr stops them and reveals the overlook that leads to Cove Town is in need of repair and asks them to retrieve his hammer from the lighthouse to speed up the repairs. After the hammer is retrieved, Timburr is able to fix the overpass and the two make their way to Cove Town. When the two arrive at Cove Town, they find Krokorok and Sandile and ask them how to open the portal to Wish Park. Krokorok and Sandile agree to reveal the secret if they are defeated in a battle. After they are beaten, they reveal they were hired by Gothita to bring Pokémon to Wish Park in exchange for berries. They also reveal that the way to open the portal is to wish for it and that the more Pokémon that help, the stronger the wish will be. Pikachu and Oshawott return to Seasong Beach, open the portal, and return to Wish Park to rescue the kidnapped Pokémon.

Return to the Cake Zone[]

When the two return, they are immediately discovered by Gothita, who is surprised they managed to come back. The two demand that the entranced Pokémon be released from the spell, but Gothita instead flees and two go to confront Cofagrigus. Cofagrigus reveals the Cake Zone's Wish Bell is the only way to release the spell over the Pokémon, but refuses to allow the two near it unless his improved attraction is cleared. After the attraction is cleared, Cofagrigus refuses to yield and battles the two along with his Yamask, but they are defeated and the bridge to the Wish Bell lowers. The two ring the Wish Bell and its power frees the entranced Pokémon from the spell and they all leave the Cake Zone. However, Oshawott notices Piplup wasn't among the leaving Pokémon and Cofagrigus reveals the Piplup likely wandered into a different part of Wish Park -- which is made up of four zones and the Wish Palace, which can only be reached by ringing all four Wish Bells from all of the zones. Suddenly, a Gothorita appears to stop Cofagrigus from revealing anything else after revealing that Pokémon from all the PokéPark are being taken to Wish Park and falling under its spell. Gothorita declares that the master of Wish Park desires to keep Pokémon entranced with it forever and interference will be not accepted before leaving with Cofagrigus. Pikachu and Oshawott decide to report to Samurott and return through the portal.

During the portal journey, Pikachu is taken to Reshiram's realm and Reshiram warns that the events of Wish Park are just beginning. He warns that a major disaster is going to happen and that Pikachu is destined to stop it if he joins forces with his friends.

Pikachu and Oshawott return to Seasong Beach and Pikachu tells Oshawott about the encounter with Reshiram. On the way to talk to Samurott, the two meet Drifblim, one of the Pokémon who was rescued from Wish Park, who reveals she and her friends can help the two with transportation across the park. The two meet with Samurott who thanks them for rescuing the kidnapped Pokémon, but also reveals the case cannot be closed until the Wish Park crew's schemes are ended for good. Samurott asks the two to head to the Arbor Area next and to speak with Krookodile at the gate. Oshawott hopes that Piplup can be found if they take the portal in the Arbor Area and the two set out for Cove Town. When they speak with Krookodile, he only agrees to open the gate if the two can bring Audino (whom he has a crush on) to him and beat him in a battle. After he is beaten, Krookodile opens the gate to the Arbor Area.

Windmill Way[]

When Pikachu and Oshawott enter Windmill Way, they overhear a Karrablast and Cottonee discussing a berry party Queen Serperior, the Area Keeper of the Arbor Zone, will be having soon and Oshawott determines things are still calm in the Arbor Area. When the two try and move on, they meet a Snivy who becomes interested in the case before leaving. The two find a Zorua near a poster portal and he reveals that his friend is stuck in Wish Park and the portal won't work. Oshawott discovers the poster is missing a piece and Snivy returns and theorizes restoring the missing piece could fix it. Snivy tells everyone that Whimsicott was the one who took the piece before running off again. Pikachu, Oshawott, and Zorua talk to Whimsicott, who reveals she took the piece to make an invitation for the upcoming berry party and gave it to Serperior, the queen of the Arbor Area, who is in Verdant Court. On the way to Verdant Court, the two are stopped by the Arbor Area's guard, Bisharp, but Snivy returns again and tells that she's acquainted with them. Bisharp agrees to let the two pass and reveals that Snivy is a princess, much to Oshawott's shock. Snivy leaves to speak with Serperior and Pikachu and Oshawott head to Verdant Court.

Verdant Court[]

When the two reach Verdant Court, they speak with Serperior and Snivy about the Pokémon disappearing into Wish Park and ask where the invitation made out of the poster piece is. Serperior reveals Deerling is in possession of the invitation and Snivy runs off to play, much to Serperior's frustration at her daughter's lack of manners. When the two find Deerling, they discover Snivy is with her and Oshawott asks Deerling about the invitation. Deerling reveals the invitation was stored in a stump that leads deep underground and Snivy (looking for a fun adventure) offers to join Pikachu and Oshawott in their investigation. Oshawott objects to having Snivy join the team, but Pikachu accepts her offer and Snivy joins the group after being beaten in Chase. With the help of Snivy's abilities, the group manages to retrieve the poster piece and use it to fix the poster portal at the windmill in Windmill Way. Suddenly, Bisharp and his Pawniard soldiers appear and, under the assumption that Oshawott and Pikachu are trying to kidnap Snivy to Wish Park, attack. After they are defeated, Snivy tells Bisharp and the Pawniard soldiers the truth of the situation and the latter apologize for their brass actions. Zorua returns and reveals his friend, Zoroark, was tricked into bringing Pokémon into Wish Park and when he discovered the truth about Wish Park, he was caught trying to free them. Zorua decides to come to Wish Park with the group and reveals that only Pokémon that live near the poster portal can help open it and that the Arbor Area's portal responds greater to Pokémon that can fly. The group manages to open the portal and return to Wish Park.

Dance Zone[]

The group enters Wish Park's Dance Zone and Zorua immediately finds Zoroark, but Gothorita appears and reveals Zoroark is under her control. Zoroark attacks, but is defeated and Gothorita flees while Zoroark returns to his senses. Zorua and Zoroark thank the group and Zoroark reveals it was Piplup who warned him of the truth about Wish Park. The two split up from the group to search for Piplup and Pikachu, Snivy, and Oshawott decided to confront the attraction boss, Chandelure. On the way, they discover the kidnapped Pokémon are under a trance and forced to dance nonstop. The group confronts Chandelure, who refuses to let them ring the zone's Wish Bell to undo the spell on the Pokémon unless they can beat his attraction, Dance Inferno. Even though the group wins the attraction, Chandelure refuses to give up without a fight and engages the group in a battle with his Litwick and Lampent minions. After Chandelure and his minions are defeated, Gothita, Gothorita, and a new Pokémon called Gothitelle appear. Gothitelle reveals the master of Wish Park plans to use Wish Park to replace the PokéPark and trap all the Pokémon in Wish Park to create "a world where fun never ends" and she prepares to get rid of the group herself. Chandelure is frightened away by the thought of Gothitelle's wrath, but before she can attack, Zoroark, Zorua, and Piplup appear and intervene. Even though it is clear Gothitelle is incredibly strong, she decides to retreat and Gothita and Gothorita follow. After the group rings the Wish Bell and return the entranced Pokémon to normal, they reunite with Piplup while Zorua and Zoroark return to the Arbor Area. However, Piplup decides to stay in Wish Park to warn other Pokémon of its dangers and runs off. With their business concluded, the group returns to the Arbor Area.

On the way back through the portal, Pikachu is brought to Zekrom's realm and meets Zekrom. Zekrom reveals both the PokéPark and Wish Park will soon be destroyed by the Dark Vortex, an ancient and powerful darkness, that was unleashed by the leader of Wish Park. He also entrusts Pikachu and his pals with preventing the destruction of both worlds.

The group returns to the Arbor Area and Pikachu tells Serperior about his encounter with Zekrom. Serperior identifies the Dark Vortex of which Zekrom spoke as a void that is capable of swallowing the entire world. She also identifies that the scheme of the Wish Park crew is related to the Black Vortex and Zoroark reveals that while he was under control, he overheard that the Wish Park crew is going to target the Crag Area next. Pikachu, Oshawott, and Snivy all return to Cove Town and after speaking with Krookodile, enter the Crag Area.

Rockridge Fort[]

The group arrives at Rockridge Fort and quickly meet a Pokémon called Victini at the fort's entrance who reveals his friend, Tepig, is missing and the group agrees to help search for him. Victini reveals the group can only enter the fort with a secret password and gives a hint about it before leaving. After the group tells the fort guard Bastiodon, the secret password "kindness", Bastiodon reveals there is an upcoming battle tournament. The group eventually finds Tepig, who is trapped inside of a cannon and free him by firing him out of it, much to Tepig's objection. Angry that he was ignored and fired out of the cannon, Tepig attacks but is defeated. Tepig quickly drops his anger and asks the group to help him in the battle tournament. Oshawott accepts Tepig's offer, believing the Wish Park crew will make a move at the tournament, and Tepig joins the group as a pal. The group goes to speak with the Zone Keeper, Emboar, in order to sign up for the battle tournament. Emboar reveals that in addition to having a team, there are two more requirements: smashing a boulder and retrieving an item called the bravery beard from a cave that can be reached with the cannon. Tepid smashes the boulder and the group retrieves the bravery beard, allowing them to enter the tournament. The group uses the gate to travel to the Colosseum, where the battle tournament is to take place.

Colosseum[]

When the group enters the Colosseum, they find Victini who learns they have entered the battle tournament. Victini offers to use his unique power, Victini's Favor, to empower the group so they can win. Tepig politely declines, wanting to win with his own power despite his timid streak. On the way to the arena, the group are stopped by a Rhyperior and Geodude who want to take the group's place in the tournament. The two challenge the group to a unique battle where they have to push Rhyperior out of a ring and they manage to win. The group reaches the edge of the arena, but discover the entrance is closed and are forced to enter another way and exit right in the middle of a match between a Scraggy and Hydreigon. However, since Scraggy never showed up to battle, the group ends up taking his place and they manage to defeat Hydreigon. Hydreigon furious at his loss and losing the chance to use Victini's Favor, the prize for the tournament, and Scraggy appears and reveals Hydreigon was taking Pokémon to Wish Park. Emboar calls off the tournament and he and the group corner Hydreigon, who reveals the portal's location in an attempt to escape. Suddenly, a Haxorus ambushes Emboar from behind reveals he is Hydreigon's partner and that he has taken Victini captive to use his power. The two escape with Victini into Wish Park, but not before Hydreigon challenges the group to a rematch in Wish Park and reveals the portal responds greater to wishes of powerful Pokémon. The group manages to open the portal and enter Wish Park's Power Zone.

Power Zone[]

Upon entering the Power Zone, Tepig is warned of the dangers of Wish Park, and the group finds several Pokémon under Wish Park's spell and are unable to stop wildly fighting. The group finds Haxorus and Hydreigon waiting with Gothitelle, who hired the two in exchange for making them stronger and manage to defeat Haxorus. Haxorus and Hydreigon demand Gothitelle make them stronger with Victini's power, but Gothitelle, seeing that the two have no real potential as allies even after being powered up by Wish Park, decides to back on their deal and give Victini's power to the master of Wish Park instead. Furious at being betrayed, the two team up to attack Gothitelle, but are instantly defeated in one shot by her master, Darkrai. Darkrai offers the group a chance to join his side, but when the group refuses, he tasks Gothitelle to deal with them. Gothitelle agrees to let the group ring the Power Zone's Wish Bell and free Victini if they beat the attraction. After the attraction is beaten, Gothitelle keeps her word and lets the group ring the wish bell. The entranced Pokémon are released from the spell and return to the PokéPark. Victini is released as promised, however, Gothitelle reveals Piplup is her captive before fleeing. The group is depressed upon this news, but return to the PokéPark to report to Emboar.

Emboar reveals he received a message from Serperior revealing the Dark Vortex has begun to appear. The vortex is small at the moment, but Emboar warns it will grow larger and larger until it swallows the PokéPark. As the group wonders what their next move should be, Victini reveals she overheard Gothitelle saying the poster portals are made in the Scientorium that resides in the Tech Area. The group returns to Cove Town and Krookodile opens the gate to the Tech Area.

Train Depot[]

Soon after entering the Train Depot, the group meets with a Gurdurr who reveals that outsiders are forbidden from entering the Tech Zone. Oshawott tries to explain the situation, but Gurdurr refuses to listen and attacks. Gurdurr is defeat and admits he can't stop the group from entering the zone, but suggests they speak with the Zone Keeper, Conkeldurr. When the group speaks with Conkeldurr, he refuses to listen to them stating the Tech Zone minds only its own business and battles the group. After he is defeated, Conkeldurr admits he was impressed by the group and agrees to hear them out. However, before Conkeldurr can fully contemplate the situation, Gurdurr appears and reveals the iron bridge was broken, keeping Pokémon from the Tech Zone from returning home. Tepig offers to help and Conkeldurr tells the groups to retrieve cement and timber from Timburr to fix the bridge with.

The group travels to Seasong Beach and speak with Timburr, who reveals it will take too long to acquire the needed materials by himself. Timburr and the group decide to speak with Samurott and he decides to contact the other Zone Keepers for assistance. The other Zone Keepers send the needed materials and Timburr goes on ahead to repair the bridge. Samurott notices the Black Vortex in the sky is growing larger and larger and begs the group to stop the Wish Park crew before disaster strikes.

The group returns to the Train Depot and with the materials, the bridge is restored and the stranded Pokémon return to the Tech Zone. Conkeldurr gives his thanks to the group and the Zone Keepers for all the help and reveals the Scientorium is somewhere in the warehouse and Gurdurr knows the way in. Gurdurr gives directions to the warehouse, but warns it is guarded by a Golurk. After Golurk is defeated, he befriends the group and opens the warehouse by ramming a train into it.

Unawarehouse[]

When the group enters the Unawarehouse, they meet a Solosis who reveals the Scientorium entrance is on the second floor. Upon reaching the entrance to the Scientorium, the group discover a Klink, Klang, and Klinklang leaving and a Duosion reveals the three are needed to open the elevator to the Scientorium. After finding the three gear Pokémon and convincing them to open the elevator one last time, the group enters the Scientorium.

Scientorium[]

The group searches the Scientorium and meet the chief scientist, Reuniclus. Reuniclus is revealed to be the creator of the poster portals but is oblivious to what the Wish Park crew is doing. Oshawott reveals what's been happening and Reuniclus reveals that the reason the Dark Vortex has appeared is because the Wish Bells are being kept from ringing. He explains that the Wish Bells regulate time in Wish Park and without it, it causes a gravity fluctuation effect that creates the Dark Vortex. Realizing the danger, Reuniclus offers to let the group use his poster portal to reach Wish Park, but its currently broken and requires a part from Reuniclus' lab. The group retrieves the part and Reuniclus reveals the portal responds well to the wishes of small Pokémon who have big dreams. The portal is opened, and the group arrives at Wish Park's Flight Zone.

Flight Zone[]

When the group arrives in the Flight Zone, Oshawott realizes that they are final zone and close to stopping the Wish Park crew for good. On the way to the attraction, the group discovers Pokémon under Wish Park's spell that are forced to fly in the air uncontrollably. They confront the attraction manager, Sigilyph who challenges them with his attraction. After the attraction is beaten, Sigilyph challenges the group to a battle and is defeated. The group rings the final Wish Bell and frees the entranced Pokémon and they return to the PokéPark. With all four Wish Bells rung, the four zones of Wish Park reunite and the portal to Wish Palace activates. When the group attempts to travel to Wish Palace, Gothita, Gothorita, and Gothitelle appear and try to dissuade them from entering the palace, but the group continues on.

Wish Palace[]

The group enters Wish Palace, ready to find Piplup and end Darkrai's schemes. However, when they find Piplup, he is under the influence of Wish Park and attacks. When Piplup is defeated, he returns to his sense and runs away in shame just as Darkrai and his minions arrive. Darkrai sees that the group's strength is their friendship and uses his powers to wipe Oshawott, Snivy, and Tepig of their memories of Pikachu and then entraps Pikachu in a nightmare. Pikachu's nightmare entraps him in Cove Town all alone, but he is pulled out of it by Piplup. Piplup reveals that after he ran away Zekrom and Reshiram (who were seen flying above) brought him to Pikachu. He recommends Pikachu try to find his pals and restore their memory while he goes off to do something important. Pikachu finds Oshawott, Snivy, and Tepig and one by one, restores their memories. With the group reunited, they all decide to return to Wish Palace and confront Darkrai.

When Darkrai is confronted, he is surprised his spells were broken and is forced to personally deal with the group. Darkrai engages in a final battle with the group and despite his great power and even turning giant, Darkrai is defeated once and for all. After the battle, Gothita and Gothorita reveal there is trouble in Wish Park and everyone heads outside to see the Dark Vortex is about to swallow all of Wish Park. Suddenly, Piplup and Reuniclus arrive and Piplup reveals the Dark Vortex is beginning to swallow the PokéPark as well. Fortunately, Reuniclus reveals he has created a special orb that can neutralize the Dark Vortex when it is powered by the four Wish Bells and taken into the Dark Vortex, but who takes the orb into the Dark Vortex will be lost to it with virtually no chance of escaping. Despite the risk, the group ring the Wish Bells and the orb is empowered. However, the Dark Vortex starts swallowing Wish Park and Oshawott, Snivy, Tepig, and Piplup are sucked into it. Pikachu tries to take the orb into the Dark Vortex, but Darkrai, seeing the consequences of his actions, takes the orb himself and flies into the Dark Vortex after giving Pikachu an apology for all he's done. The Dark Vortex is neutralized and all the Pokémon sucked into it, except Darkrai, are freed. The credits roll showing Pokémon the Player has befriended (those not befriended are blacked out) and various shots of the PokéPark.

Post-Game[]

Some time after the crisis has ended, peace has returned to the PokéPark and the group ponders what to do next. Tepig reveals the battle tournament has started up again and Snivy and Oshawott reveal Wish Park has been restored after the damage from the Dark Vortex and has started back up. When the group arrives at Wish Park, Gothita and Gothorita reveal they are no longer keeping Pokémon trapped in Wish Park and the Wish Park crew is working hard to regain the trust of the PokéPark. However, Gothitelle has fallen into a deep depression ever since Darkrai sacrificed himself and hasn't left Wish Palace. The group decides to find a way to rescue Darkrai from the Dark Vortex and decide to ask the Area Keepers. Samurott determines that Reshiram and Zekrom are the only power capable of rescuing Darkrai and reveals that the secret to meeting them has been passed down in the Arbor Area and the Crag Area.

Serperior reveals the way to contact Reshiram is to gather at least 20 Vast White Quills, which can be found all across the PokéPark, and take them to a dais in the Arcane Area. Serperior also reveals the bridge to the Arcane Area has been fixed by Timburr. After 20 Vast White Quills have been gathered, the group travels to the Arcane Area, find Reshiram's Dais, and travel to Reshiram's realm. When they meet Reshiram, he thanks the group for helping to stop the Dark Vortex, but is against rescuing Darkrai from the Dark Vortex. Reshiram agrees to help free him if the group and prove their determination to save him and defeat him in battle. After he is defeated, Reshiram agrees to help, but he reveals Zekrom's power is needed as well to save Darkrai.

Emboar reveals the way to contact Zekrom is to acquire a special item inside an indestructible orb passed down in the Crag Area. The deep black orb is entrusted to the group and they decide to speak with Reuniclus to see if he has a way to break the orb. Reuniclus determines he can create a machine that can destroy the orb, but it will require the power of the wind, thunder and land to work. Oshawott remembers there it a legend in the Cove Area about a Pokémon the causes powerful winds and decides to ask Samurott about it. Samurott reveals the Pokémon of legend is Tornadus and that he can be summoned at a special shrine with a chant. The group finds the shrine and use the chant to summon Tornadus, who agrees to lend his power if he is beaten in a game of Chase. After he is beaten, Tornadus suggests enlisting the help of his friend, Thundurus, who can be summoned with a chant at a shrine at the Colosseum. At the Colosseum, the group uses the help of Mandibuzz to reach Thundurus' shrine and use the chant to summon him. Thunderous agrees to help out if he is beaten at Chase and after he loses, he suggests enlisting the help of Landorus, who can be summoned with a chant at a shrine in the Arcane Area, to make sure he and Tornadus don't get carried away. The group travels to the Arcane Area, finds Landorus' shrine, and use the chant to summon him. Landorus agrees to lend his power if he is defeated in battle and after he is beaten, everyone heads to the Scientorium. With the power of Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus, Reuniclus' machine destroys the deep black orb and inside it is a bolt spike. Reuniclus suggests taking the bolt spike to a dais in Wish Palace to find Zekrom. The group finds the dais and travel to Zekrom's realm. When they meet Zekrom, he thanks the group for helping to stop the Dark Vortex, but is against rescuing Darkrai from the Dark Vortex. Zekrom agrees to help free him if the group and prove their determination to save him and defeat him in battle. After he is defeated, Zekrom agrees to help, but he reveals Reshiram's power is needed as well to save Darkrai.

When both Reshiram and Zekrom are defeated, they join forces and free Darkrai from the Dark Vortex. A grateful Darkrai thanks the group for rescuing him and apologizes for all of his previous misdeeds. Darkrai also apologizes to Gothita, Gothorita, and Gothitelle for dragging him into his blind ambitions and acknowledges them as his true friends. The group also extends their friendship to Darkrai and Darkrai humbly accepts.

  • Haxorus: A hired minion who worked with Hydreigon to kidnap Victini. Later becomes in charge of the Power Zone.
  • Sigilyph: The Pokémon in charge of the Flight Zone.
  • Darkrai: The leader of Wish Park who wishes to sate his incredible loneliness by keeping Pokémon trapped in Wish Park.

Area Keepers[]

Certain areas have a "Keeper", a leader in charge of the area.

  • Samurott: The wise and noble Samurott is the Keeper of the Cove Area. This warrior is very dependable and believes that teamwork will help solve the case faster.
  • Serperior: Queen Serperior is the Keeper of the Arbor Area and Snivy's mother. She hopes that one day, Snivy will become queen. But Snivy's uncouth manners never seem to improve...
  • Emboar: As powerful as he is kind, Emboar is the Keeper of the Crag Area. He's the one who runs the Battle Tournament in which some of the strongest of Pokémon gather to battle it out.
  • Conkeldurr: Conkeldurr is in charge of the Tech Area. Initially distrustful of outsiders, he becomes more welcoming after the other area leaders provide him with crucial help.

Features[]

Attractions[]

Similar to the previous game, PokéPark 2 also has attractions located in Wish Park. However, unlike its predecessor, only Pikachu, Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott are playable, but multiple players can also play with a special function on the menu. The game only has four attractions: the Cake Contraption, Dance Inferno, Power Bash and the Flight of Fancy.

Skill Games[]

Like the previous game, Pokémon can be challenged to a variety of games. Some games are similar to those in Pikachu's Adventure, but many have notable differences.

Chase[]

A game of tag where the player has to dash into a fleeing Pokémon before time runs out. Some Pokémon will attack or leave traps as they run in order to knock the player back.

Battle[]

A battle between the player and an opposing Pokémon. The player has to attack using a variety of moves to bring the opposing Pokémon's health down to zero. The battle format is largely different than in Pikachu's Adventure with the introduction of new attacks and multiple choices for the Pokémon that is played, making type differences more involved. Another new feature is the ability to call in a befriended Pokémon when the player's health is low and the called Pokémon launches a single attack.

Some battles are conducted against multiple Pokémon at once. Battles against Wish Park Pokémon are special and conducted in two stages with the first stage involving a special challenge.

Quiz[]

A quiz challenge where the Player will be asked three questions about Pokémon, locations, game events, or other topics. Even if the Pokémon is challenged repeatedly, it will always ask the same questions. If all three questions are answered correctly, the game is won.

Hide-and-Seek[]

A game of hide-and-seek where the Player must seek out a hiding Pokémon. The game is won by finding the hiding Pokémon and interacting with them before time runs out. Before the hiding Pokémon goes into hiding, it will give a hint about the general location of where it will hide.

Obstacle Course[]

A special Skill Game conducted specifically by Eevee and its evolutions. The player has to run an obstacle course and reach the end before times runs out. Some course will have special requirements that need to be fulfilled before it can be completed.
