Liberty Garden is an island located in the south-east area of the Unova region. It is only accessible by taking a ship from Castelia City to the island, which requires a Liberty Pass (distributed via a Wi-Fi event). In Pokémon Black and White Versions 2, Liberty Garden can be accessed without the Liberty Pass.
History[]
According to Professor Juniper, the island was bought by an extremely rich man. She believes he was trying to protect Victini, although also stating that it may not have been the best place to put Victini inside the largest tower.
In Black and White, Liberty Garden is being invaded by Team Plasma in hopes of capturing Victini. However, they were stopped by Hilbert/Hilda, and have since been arrested. But it was hinted in Pokémon White 2 they have since been bailed by Ghetsis.
Pokémon Black and White[]
Victini is being taken over by Team Plasma when the player arrives. To the far right, the player can see their boat there if you haven't fought Victini yet, but he or she cannot board it. There are, in total, five Team Plasma grunts to defeat.
At the entrance of the lighthouse, there is a man who will heal your Pokémon. Inside the lighthouse's hidden room is Victini at level 15. If Victini faints, it will reappear when the player revisits the room. By defeating or capturing it, you buy Professor Juniper enough time to arrest Team Plasma.
After the player has caught Victini and returned to the island, there will be fewer people there, and because of which the police, if approached by the player, will state that they are bored.
Pokémon Black and White Versions 2[]
Liberty Garden can now be accessed without the Liberty Pass. However, Victini will not be present.
If a Victini is brought to Liberty Garden and into Victini's room, Victini will request to come out of its Poké Ball. If the player accepts, Victini will come out, reminisce about the past and examine its old room. Afterwards, Victini returns to its Poké Ball.[1]
Trivia[]
- Liberty Garden is based on Liberty Island.
- In Black 2 and White 2, a message appears mentioning that the island was bought 200 years ago by a rich family and is a place where humans and Pokémon can live freely. In real life, Liberty Island has a history of immigration, and the "200 years ago" is likely referring to the Independence of America.
