Entralink is a location introduced in Generation V.

Description[]

Entralink is located in central Unova in Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version. It is also a wireless feature. To use it, the player must have progressed at least as far as Nimbasa City because the Entralink only includes the ring of routes and cities around the center of the map. Once this is done, the player can use the Entralink by turning on the C-Gear and pressing the button that says 'Wireless', then tapping the button labeled 'Entralink', warping them to said location. The function only works outdoors, so the player cannot warp while inside of buildings or caves.

In the Entralink, the player can choose from among several different activities. If the player has used the Dream World to catch Pokémon, they can head north from the Entree in the center of the Entralink and enter a forest. Any Pokémon caught in the Dream World await the player in the area, or one of the other areas leading off of it. The player can make their own profile. While in the Entralink, the playtime, Gym Badges earned, time spent in Dream World, and the player's Friend List are all shown.

If there is another player nearby who also has their C-Gear turned on, and is not inside the player's Entralink, the player can cross one of the two bridges to the east and west and enter the other player's Entralink. When the player passes through the barrier on either bridge, the environment changes to monochrome, and their avatar is changed to the multiplayer one.

In the other player's Entralink, the player can do missions by talking to the Entree in the center. The missions are for assisting the other player. Missions can earn the player Pass Orbs, which can be used to purchase Pass Powers by talking to the Entree, with Pass Powers including EXP and Prize money multipliers, Capture Rate increase, and many more useful abilities.

Mission listings[]

  • Item Mission: The player needs to go to the Celestial Tower and hide an Ultra Ball within it. If another player talks to them during this mission, they fail the mission.
  • Battle Mission: The player needs to find and challenge the High Link host to a battle. The restrictions are two Pokémon at level 10. If the player refuses to battle, they fail the mission.
  • Support Mission: The player needs to go to find the Entralink host and give them an item called the Discount Power S, although it lasts for only thirty minutes.

Sometimes, missions transform the player into a certain Pokémon, such as Meowth, Machop, Jigglypuff, Oddish, Cubone, and Pikachu.
