Biography[]
Johto[]
Facing a Skarmory with Gold, Falkner sent his Noctowl and Pidgeotto to attack it.[1] Falkner's Pokémon were present when Falkner succeeded in becoming the Gym Leader of Azalea Town.[2]
Noctowl struck by Janine's Ariados' Leech Life.
During the conference of the Gym Leaders on Indigo Plateau, Falkner had his Noctowl battle Janine's Grimer. Grimer used Minimize, followed by Sludge Bomb, which hit Noctowl. Noctowl responded by using Foresight, which nullified Grimer's evasiveness. Instead, Janine called Grimer back and sent Ariados. Noctowl went to attack, but was trapped into Ariados' Spider Web, followed by String Shot and Leech Life. With Noctowl nearly fainted, Falkner swapped it with his Skarmory.[3]
Since Crystal was being attacked by the Masked Man's severed legs, Noctowl attacked the ice to prevent danger.[4] It was briefly present when Suicune, Entei and Raikou joined Crystal.[5]
Johto II[]
Near Ecruteak City's Gym, suspecting Silver to be an enemy, Bugsy sent Kakuna and Falkner sent Noctowl to attack him. However, Silver's Weavile easily defeated the two Pokémon.[6] Falkner and Noctowl were at the Gym when Arceus arrived. Arceus emitted a giant blast that blew Falkner and Noctowl away, knocking them unconscious.[7]
