Winter Kills is a series of Trials and MK-Challenges designated to test the Reagents' tenacity through unforgiving cold air and increased difficulty in exchange for Winter tokens.

It was introduced on December 12, 2023 as a winter holiday event through Update #4 Patch Notes and goes until January 9, 2024. It comes with exclusive themed outfits, cell items, and cell posters. It also comes with new variators, as well as introducing two new Courthouse challenges: Escape the Courthouse and Destroy the Evidence. The event also introduced 5 new evidence documents to collect, most of which centered around the lore of the program itself. In December 10, 2024, Winter Kills event return with new cosmetics, catalog, new Trial, new MK-Challenges, and released alongside Season 2: Project Breach.

Winter Kills consists of MK-Challenges and 1 Trial, with variators focused on avoiding deadly cold snaps and collecting presents for more rewards.

A new set of variators is introduced, utilizing hiding spots in order to avoid being exposed to lethal cold while also picking up gifts for some jolly rewards. (Rewards given are double the amount of Winter tokens for all players, depending on the amount.)

2024[]

The Season 2: Project Breach update has been introduced alongside the Winter Kills event featuring 2 parts, with Trials and MK-Challenges shuffled in a bi-weekly rotation while keeping the variators intact in every difficulty.

It also features new evidence documents and Frost Mines variator that can replace psychosis gas from mines with temporary slowdown effect.

Rewards[]

Winter Tokens
Completing each MK-Challenges or Trials and its secondary objectives, and Task Challenges from any programs reward varied amount of Winter tokens depending on the difficulty. Players can buy cosmetics from the Winter Catalog that can only be purchased for Winter tokens.

Winter Kills Catalog
Winter Kills event features a limited-time catalog with exclusive cosmetics for players to customize their Reagent character and Sleep Room cell. Players who had already obtained older cosmetics from previous year does not need to be purchased again.

Winter Kills Cosmetics
Winter Kills cosmetics can only be obtained from the Winter catalog and special tasks during the Winter Kills event.

Winter Kills Posters
Completing all Winter Kills tasks from each part rewards Winter Kills posters and additional customizations for the player for their Sleep Room.
