The Muchi Muchi no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that allows the user to use whips to command anything they hit, turning the user into a Training Human (調教人間, Chōkyō Ningen?, English adaptations: "Discipline-Woman"). It was eaten by Kujaku.[1]

Etymology[]

  • Muchi (鞭) is Japanese for "whip".

Strengths and Weaknesses[]

This fruit allows the user to implant obedience into whatever the user lashes with a whip.

The effects of the whipping can affect even inanimate, immobile objects, such as buildings. For example, if the user orders an object to move, it will do so regardless of whether it is physically possible or not. It is unknown if the taming effects are temporary or not.

There are no known weaknesses for this fruit besides the usual Devil Fruit weaknesses.

Usage[]

Kujaku primarily uses her ability in conjunction with her whip. Kujaku can use her whip to manipulate her surroundings, verbally commanding the environment to behave in a certain way. Kujaku tends to use harsh, abusive language while doing so.

Kujaku has a natural advantage in urban areas, since those give her plenty of sizable, sturdy objects to command, allowing her to trap enemy crowds largely undetected.[1]

Trivia[]

  • This Devil Fruit is thematically similar to the Kibi Kibi no Mi, the Nori Nori no Mi and the non-canon Peto Peto no Mi, as they are all based on making things obey the user. However, the Muchi Muchi no Mi is the only one that is able to affect inanimate objects.
  • The ability to command non-living things is similar to the Soru Soru no Mi's ability to create Homies, though objects commanded by the Muchi Muchi no Mi do not gain a personality or anthropomorphic characteristics.
