Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland is a retro-style 2D platformer video game based on the Nickelodeon animated series Rugrats, developed by The Mix Games and Wallride that was released for Nintendo Switch and its contemporary consoles on September 10, 2024.[1] A physical version, which notably included a Nintendo Entertainment System cartridge, was released on December 6th.

Plot[]

Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil see a commercial for a Reptar video game, so they pretend that they're in their own video game.

The game is a 2D 8-bit sice-scrolling platformer that take inspirations from NES platformers (which this game is also one), mainly Super Mario Bros. 2. Similarly, players can choose from four characters of the show at the start: Tommy, Chuckie, Phil and Lil. Each of them have variable "Jump" and "Lift" stats, labeled by star count. The player can also swap characters at any point while pausing, except on the "Big Kid" difficulty.

Players can jump, climb, ground-pound, and pick up and throw objects at enemies.

The health bar is a baby bottle with four bars. Cookies act as extra lives if the player loses one.

The goal is to collect enough coins to open a Reptar door. A screwdriver item is also required to unlock gates to progress.

There are six stages total, and a boss fight awaits the player in each.
