Jungle Escape! is the 33rd issue of the Ninjago: Legacy Magazine.
Magma Mayhem[]
After defeating the Skull Sorcerer, the ninja and Upply were celebrating at the Shintaro Palace. Suddenly, three Magma Monsters arose from the ground and attacked civilians. The heroes confronted them, but during the battle, Fungus and Cole have fallen in one of the cracks. The ninja and the Army of Shintaro were trying to stop the monsters, expecting their return.
In the underground, the ninja and the magician fought some Re-Awakened warriors and met Munce and Geckle, who were imprisoned by these skeletons. A Geckle named Gnippo thanked for their help and revealed that some of the Re-Awakened warriors were still alive and loyal to Vangelis. They took Menkes and Gnippo as prisoners and set the Magma Monsters to attack the Kingdom of Shintaro. Cole said that they need a magic device to defeat the Magma Monsters. Menkes offered his help as an expert smith and crafted a new hammer for Fungus to enchant it. With a new hammer Cole was ready to defeat the monsters.
After returning to the surface, Cole used his hammer and created a big magic-powered Spinjitzu tornado which turned all the monsters into stone. After this, they were easily destroyed with ninja's Elemental Powers.
After the battle Cole gave his hammer to the guards of Shintaro for the case if the monsters returned. Vania thanked the ninja and invited them to her coronation ceremony.

Trivia[]
- The events of the comic are happening during "The Son of Lilly" between Vangelis' defeat and Vania's coronation ceremony.
- Despite that, the ninja are wearing their Dojo suits, just like in every Ninjago: Legacy Magazine since issue 16.
- The comic shows that some of the Re-Awakened survived the Vangelis' defeat. This does not contradict canon since they are seen alive on the Crossroads after the Merge.
Errors[]
- Plundar and Korgran are seen celebrating with others on the first page, but mysteriously disappear after this, leaving Fungus alone with the ninja.
