Sheldon Reginald "Shelby" Forthright is the posthumous overarching protagonist of Disney•Pixar's 39th full-length animated feature film WALL•E.
He was the CEO of the megacorporation Buy N' Large in the 22nd century, who pushed the brand to such great lengths in order to simplify life for humanity. As an unintended consequence of this however, much of the Earth became covered in garbage. Shelby would then have the population of Earth to evacuate the Earth via the Axiom, where they would remain for 700 years after giving directive A-113 to AUTO, believing that no life can reside on Earth.
He was portrayed by the late Fred Willard.
Appearance[]
Shelby is a middle-aged Caucasian man with combed-over brunette hair. He is always seen wearing a blue tie with a white dress shirt and a red tie, with a button with the Buy N' Large logo on it.
Trivia[]
- Shelby was originally going to be named Bob McCrea, which happens to be the name of the Axiom's captain in the final film.
