Dominic Wolfwood is the main protagonist of The Coldest Winter. He was an introvert who mourned the death of his dog. For years, he was solitary as an oyster, until he learned that his dog would want him to be happy.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- He was one of the 30 villagers who went to collect resources to help his village, despite no one really liking him at the time.
- When he found a wolf injured, he took him in and fed him, naming him Oscar. Oscar would then become one of his greatest friends, as he takes good care of him.
- Even after his death, he is still extremely loyal to Oliver, as he is seen refusing to put Oliver’s collar on Oscar.
- When Peter tried to rob him and kill him, he defended himself, but when Peter ended up falling into a frozen river and dying, he felt bad for indirectly killing someone, questioning if he was a murderer or not.
- When Lucy came outside his door, at first he thought she was a trick, but after hearing her story, he let her in and took care of her, letting her stay with him. He sympathised with the loss of her mother, as he knew what death felt like.
- When Charles destroyed his hut, and demanded him to hand in Lucy, or he would hunt them down and kill him, instead of handing Lucy in, he decides to run away with her, to keep her out of Charles’s way. He even shows disgust at Charles being so desperate to kill her, seeing right through Charles’ lie of “I won’t hurt her if you hand her over!”.
- He thanks Liam for repelling Charles and Samantha away from him, Lucy and Oscar, showing great respect for him.
- When Lucy and Luna were captured by Charles and Samantha, he and George rally up dozens of adventurers to rescue them both and take down Charles to end his killing spree.
- When Charles fakes guilt and begs for mercy, he sees through his lies, but refuses to kill him, saying he’s not like him, and gives him a chance to leave, which Charles refuses to take.
- He fights against Charles Eborock to stop him from murdering more innocent people, saving countless lives from him.
- When Charles had him at gunpoint, he warned him that killing everyone wouldn’t change everything, and people would be suspicious of him being the only one to come back.
- He lets Oscar roam in the wild with other wolves, as an alpha wolf. He even still visits him from time to time.
- He adopted Lucy due to her losing both of her parents.
- While he starts out as very grumpy, cold and moody, he gradually warms up over time, and ends up as a hero due to being the lead role in stopping Charles and saving innocent people.
