Nathen Togamera, better known by his online alias, Stranger2Love is a major antagonist in the Ace Attorney fangame, Conflict of Interest. An amoral FBI agent and frequenter of Phoenix Wright fan forums, he turns out to have ties to the Mafia, and be responsible for dozens of murders to boot.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

• He forged evidence and gave a fake testimony to get an innocent man arrested as a favor for Kristoph Gavin and the mob.
• He became a high ranking member of the Rivales family, enabling and covering up their horrific crimes.
• In order to help the Rivales family, he infiltrated the FBI, and used his position to sabotage their investigation into the Rivales family, allowing dozens of murders, kidnappings, and tortures to be carried out. This was done so he could gain power with both the police and the mob.
• He murdered a man trying to investigate him, before burning down his house.
• He railroaded the investigation, making it impossible for detectives to investigate the crime scene, and spent his testimony painting his murder victim as a terrorist that he was justified in killing, despite the victim actually trying to have him be arrested for his criminal connections.
• When he was hacked into, he plotted with "Mendirez" to kill the hacker, who was a minor. Even though he wasn't the one who killed him, he travelled to the crime scene to give "Mendirez" his gun to carry out the murder.
• He helped cover up the death and believed it was justified, due to the kid accidentally almost blowing his cover. He showed no remorse for his involvement in the death, only upset because he was arrested for murdering him when someone else pulled the trigger.
• He had several innocent people caught up in a murder plot, putting them through immeasurable stress, to the point one of them was put in witness protection for their own safety. His only reason for doing this was to cover up his involvement.
  • The reason why the person was placed under protection was because he threatened to kill his family.
• He sent death threats to Phoenix Wright, warning him to stop investigating, making it clear he'd have had the mob assassinate him if he wasn't caught.
• When caught, he held the court at gunpoint, threatening to kill anyone who tried to stop him escaping. This only failed when he realized he was cornered.
• While the entire case where he debuted in is initially played for laughs, including Stranger2Love having a Rick Astley motif, Togamera merely used the alias to blend in with the less serious nature of the chatroom. In spite of "Never Gonna Give You Up" being spontaneously played prior to the murder, it was mostly done so Webb could identify who was going to kill him and to block off the gunshot noise. Beneath the surface of the case's clear comedic nature, it takes a complete 180 once Hackins is killed and the sinister nature behind Stranger2Love and the case revolving around him reveals itself. Not to mention his more serious actions make a presence after the case's conclusion, abandoning the case's comedic internet lol gimmick.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

• He doesn't quite reach the Heinous Standards or Luciano, Mendirez and Rivales, despite being complicit in many of their worst actions.
