Gift
Gifts are items in the Tomodachi series that the player can give to Miis when they level up. Once a gift has been given to a Mii, they can be seen using it in their apartment or in other locations. Gifts will only be used inside an apartment in Tomodachi Collection. Some gifts can also be used by multiple Miis at once while they are hanging out. Miis can only possess up to eight different gifts at once; there are already only eight gift types in Tomodachi Collection, though Tomodachi Life has many more kinds. When trying to give a Mii a ninth gift, the game will require the player to replace a gift they already have. Additionally, gifts will be colored according to the Mii's chosen favorite color in Tomodachi Collection.

Trivia
- The Nintendo DS gift from Tomodachi Collection uses the design of the Nintendo DS Lite.
- While Miis will no longer use headphones to listen to the CD gift in Tomodachi Life, the headphones themselves return as a purchasable hat for a Mii to wear freely.
- The duster is the only gift from Tomodachi Collection not to return nor have an equivalent replacement gift in Tomodachi Life.
- The punching bag's North American description references the Muhammad Ali quote "Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee", as well as the Survivor song "Eye of the Tiger".
