Commander Sonak was a 23rd century Vulcan man, serving in Starfleet in the 2270s decade.

Biography[]

Sonak served under Captain Baldassare Romolo aboard the USS Paladin for three years, ten months, and 212 days. In 2272, Sonak met Rear Admiral James T. Kirk aboard the Paladin. (TOS - The Lost Years novel: Recovery)

In 2273, Sonak was appointed as science officer aboard the USS Enterprise on the recommendation of Admiral Kirk. Unfortunately, Sonak was killed, along with Lori Ciana, during a transporter accident while trying to beam aboard the Enterprise. (TOS movie, novelization & comic adaptation: The Motion Picture)
