Popper, known as Minogoromon (ミノゴロモン) in Japan, is a virus from the Mega Man Battle Network series. In the beginning of the battle, these viruses are not visible, due to hanging somewhere in the air above the battlefield. When this virus begins to attack, it drops down to one of its available panels, unleashing homing wood towers towards the player. It cannot be damaged while in air; only during their attack process are they vulnerable to damage. Popper3 variant is also able to recover its health, if it is hit prior to unleashing its attack (in such a case it will recover instead of attacking).
Popper family[]
Popper[]
Popper is a yellow bagworm inside a brown pinecone, with a green hat, hanging on a grey strand.
Popper2[]
Popper2 is a pale bagworm inside a green pinecone, with a blue hat, hanging on a grey strand.
Popper3[]
Popper3 is a light-brown bagworm inside a red pinecone, with a brown hat, hanging on a grey strand. Can recover its health, if hit before it unleashes its attack. In Battle Network 1, this version has lower HP than Popper2 on account of being able to recover its health.

The Battle Chips dropped by viruses from the Popper family are Wood Tower (Woody Tower (ウッディタワー Uddi Tawā, Woody Tower)), Dropdown (Tenjou Ura (テンジョウウラ lit. "above the ceiling") in Japan), and Leaf Shield (リーフシールド Rīfu Shīrudo).

Trivia[]
- Dropdown and Leaf Shield are considered to be the hardest chips to obtain in the games that they make an appearance. In order to obtain the chip, the player must S rank the virus that drops it (kill at least two enemies at the same time) within a short period of time. The problem with this is the nature of the viruses in this family; they take a while to drop down and they go back up very quickly, leaving a small window of opportunity for damage. Some also have Recovery chips that they use. Most players resort to the use of the Chip Trader in attempts to obtain these chips.
