Zankor (Earth-616)

After disguising himself as human, his ship crash landed on earth, giving himself amnesia. Believing himself to now be human he discovered the crashed ship and the log with the plans for world conquest, and began a frantic search for the disguised alien. The truth eventually was revealed after he took it to scientists and a young Reed Richards realised that the log was in an alien language at which point Zankor also realised the truth but was captured.^[1][2]

His fate ultimately remains unknown.

In Amazing Adult Fantasy #7 Zankor's race was unknown and Prof Crater was the scientist who discovered the truth. This was later retconned in Marvel: The Lost Generation #11, turning the rather generic alien into a Skrull and replacing Crater with Reed Richards, What this means for Prof. Crater and the original Zankor in terms of continuity is unclear.
