The United States Armed Forces are the combined military might of the United States of America, including the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and U.S. Marine Corps, under the command of the President of the United States of America via the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the U.S. Department of Defense, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard under direct operational control of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
