History
The cryptic mastermind known as Myrddin eventually became interested in the Missing Moment, a specific point in the timeline from which a great historical prize could be acquired. The Missing Moment could not simply be accessed from time-travel technology, but unlocked through overcoming Tribulation Events, moments of great peril. However, only heroes could meet such events. As such, Myrddin created his own group of superheroes to do his work for him, technologically forging them in body and soul for his cause. His seven creations received designations that matched their heroic status: the "Star," the "Icon," the "Witch," the "Construct," the "God," the "Engineer," and the "King."[1]
Simultaneously, the intertemporal tyrant Kang the Conqueror was also on a quest to find the Missing Moment. Myrddin attacked Kang in the flagship of his fleet Prospero. When confronted by the Twilight Court, Kang destroyed the ship and teleported away. The Twilight Court followed him across time through tribulation events. Kang was able to evade Galehaut and Lancelot, but had his armor compromised by Bedivere and Bercilak. After he suggested to Mordred that Myrddin was a villain with selfish intentions just like him, she brought him to the rest of the court for judgement. After outperforming Parsival in hand-to-hand combat, Kang alleged to the leader of the Twilight Court that Myrddin was using them, just before Myrddin appeared from nowhere to impale him and forced Kang to vanish to the Null-Time Zone.[1]
Myrddin sent the court to retrieve Kang from the Avengers in their new base, the Impossible City. When they arrived, all of them except the Scarlet Witch and Vision were asleep by Nightmare's hand, but they woke up and joined the battle.[2]Paraphernalia

Notes
- The Twilight Court is named after characters from Arthurian mythology, specifically the Knights of the Round Table. Additionally, its members mirror the Avengers in terms of heroic iconicity.
