History
Threkker was a member of the Epsiloni, a race of beings who absorbed the life-forces of organic species. He was imprisoned in a black hole, but managed to escape and landed on Earth on the farm of Jim Hendricks. When warships were sent after him, Captain America helped him fend off the robots that were trying to retrieve Threkker until Cap realized that he was planning to absorb the life forces of everyone on Earth. He was imprisoned once more and thrown into the star Epsilon Four shortly before it went nova.[2]
He was captured by the enigmatic alien, the Stranger, and was imprisoned in the Stranger's Laboratory World for the alien to study him. He remained there until freed by Over-Mind.[3]
Once free, Threkker would join Skeletron's Starblasters, during which time he would fight both Earth's Winter Guard and the Shi'ar Imperial Guard. After being badly wounded, the Starblasters left him for dead.[4]
After Earth was designated a prison planet by the Galactic Council, Threkker was exiled there, where he once again faced off against the Winter Guard.[5] Threkker was imprisoned in a high-tech coffin and eventually discovered in a gulag by Dracula, who kept him locked away until he was unleashed during the Blood Hunt. Reanimating Lee Price and the Mania symbiote as zombies, Threkker used them as bait to lure in the Venom symbiote--intending to devour it. However, Venom rebonded with Lee and the two decided to take on Threkker together. When he tried to feed on the symbiote's life energy, due to the evolutionary defense of the Klyntar against Threkker's species, it caused a feedback loop in which the Captive feed in its own energies; reduced to a dessicated husk, the Captive was seemingly killed.[6]Attributes
Powers
Life-Force Absorption: Like all Epsiloni, Threkker could absorb the life energy of any being to empower himself. However, he could only drain the life force of organic creatures by touching.[2]
Immortality: Threkker was able to live for countless years and easily survive a nova.[2]
Reanimation: The Captive could lend the life energy he accumulated to dead bodies, partially reanimating them into zombies.[6]See Also
