Thing shares a similar history to his Earth-2992 counterpart until Squirrel Girl of the prime universe travelled to the Year 2099 looking for Speedball before he took on the Penance identity. After arriving in the future, Squirrel Girl was confronted by the League of Losers, which included Thing. Later, the Thing lead Mr. Immortal to Squirrel Girl.[1]
