Otto Octavius (Earth-TRN1403)

Otto Octavius was a scientist who wanted to create a new energy reactor with the power of a sun. He invented four mechanical arms similar to octopus tentacles, which would help him to control the reaction and manipulate the reactor safely. Harry Osborn, a friend of Peter Parker, was invited to see the demonstration of Otto and he pulled his strings to bring Peter in as well. However, the demonstration turned out to be a disaster. The reactor went out of control and Otto was hit unconscious. Harry and other spectators ran away and since Peter was late to the demonstration, he barged in as Spider-Man and stopped the reactor.

For some time, nothing was heard about Otto, but later he resurfaced as Doc Ock and tried to steal money from a bank. Spider-Man attacked him, but Otto took Peter's aunt May hostage. After a ferocious battle on the roof of the bank, Spider-Man chose to save his aunt and let Otto flee. Later, Ock attacked Peter during his meeting with MJ in a coffee shop. He kidnapped Mary Jane and told Peter to tell Spider-Man that if he wanted to see the girl alive and well, he must meet Doc at a clock tower. However, Ock was alone and after they fought on a train, Ock escaped again, because Spider-Man was forced to stop the train that Ock damaged.

Spider-Man came to Harry only to find out that he provided more tritium to Ock so he could rebuild the reactor and finish the experiment, which could potentially destroy the whole city. Spidey talked some sense into Harry and he told where to find Ock. When Spider-Man infiltrated the villain's hideout, they fought for the last time and Otto decided to sacrifice himself in order to stop the reactor, while Peter and Mary Jane flew away.
