In the year 2099 Kang the Conglomerator, owner of Kangco Inc. Ltd. owned all rights associated with the heroes of the Modern Age, using them to make profits from associated merchandise and films. He traveled back in time to take one of his most profitable properties, Spider-Punk into 2099, but Hobie Brown resisted and summoned the Atom Bomb to beat Kang enough so that he had to retreat back empty-handed.^[1]
