History
Origin and early years[]
Great Molub, Guardian of the Netherworld, or Molub the Undying Demon,[1] was a class three Demon.[2]
Age of Acheron[]
Before recorded history, Molub ruled over Earth.[1] Over 15,000 years ago, Mithra was sent to Earth by his father Ahura Mazda to serve as his representative, intervened directly to protect humanity from him.[4] Mitra defeated Molub and banished him to the Netherworld. Mitra took the Ring of Molub, used by mortals summon Molub, and cast it into the sea.[1]
Hyborian Age[]
It was to celebrate those feats that each year, the Festival of Mitra was held in Kordava, capital of Zingara. As part of the festival, an effigy of Molub was built.[1]
Molub remained active during the Hyborian Age and threatening humanity,[3] and was notably the benefactor of the sorcerer and fanatical Mitran follower Count Villarios who used the Ring of Molub to target alleged heretics, until Conan slipped the ring on Villarios himself, who was butchered by Molub.[1]See Also
