“72,000 channels and nothing on worth watching... y'think there might be something on mojo-tivo or the spineless spice channel?”
History
Early Life[]
Mojo is part of a race of spineless beings from a planet later named after him known as Mojoworld in a pocket dimension dubbed the Mojoverse. The race were slowly driven insane by waves of energy ("Television Signals") from another space/time continuum somehow scattered throughout their timeline. The were bombarded with images of strange "demon"-like creatures. It would take centuries (of their time) for them to discover the origin of these transmissions. Mojo's race did not evolve much because of their inability to stand upright, until a scientist named Arize developed exoskeletons that allowed a fast technological revolution. However, some members of the race refused to use them and called themselves the Spineless Ones. Instead, they used motorized platforms to transport their bodies. They also became the rulers and demanded a race of slaves to do all the tasks they could not or would not do. Arize created the slaves, humanoid beings, using genetic engineering and basing their appearance on the "demons" of the Spineless Ones' nightmares. Unknown to the Spineless Ones, Arize secretly planted the seeds in their genetic make-up to eventually turn on their masters and rule Mojo-world justly. Arize was banished by the Spineless Ones when he refused to build weapons for them.[9]
Mojoworld[]
The power structure of this world was based on the television industry and Mojo became their leader by controlling it, along with the slave trade. Mojo named the world after himself; 'Mojo World' and the universe the 'Mojoverse'. His followers, including Warwolves (vaguely dog-like metallic beings with the ability to kill people and take over the remains of their bodies as skins), became known as Wildways. Mojo also has a chamberlain, an android named Major Domo, who oversees Mojo's financial records and relays Mojo's commands to his servants. Major Domo is completely loyal to Mojo, but often obeys with sarcastic comments towards Mojo. Major Domo is sometimes assisted by the panicky female android Minor Domo.[9]

Longshot[]
One of the slaves Mojo had ordered, Longshot, became one of his best stunt performers. However, Longshot disagreed with the rules and led a rebellion (most likely motivated by the death of Jackson, a fellow stuntman).[9] Longshot was captured and had his memories removed, but managed to escape to earth, followed by bounty hunters.[10] On Earth Longshot found allies in the form of Dr. Strange and the human stuntwoman Ricochet Rita and they managed to defeat Mojo, driving him back to his own world. Longshot, his friend Quark and Rita returned to the Mojoverse to free their fellow slaves. Longshot's mission failed and they were captured by Mojo.[11] Longshot was brainwashed again, while Rita was tied to the bow of Mojo's world-traveling ship, serving as a guide. In an alternate future, Mojo had Rita transformed into an insane warrior/mage named Spiral and she was sent back in time to capture or kill Longshot.[4]
Mojo captured Psylocke, who had been blinded, and implanted bionic eyes in her original body. Much later it was learned that the eyes Mojo gave her were in fact interdimensional cameras allowing Mojo to record and broadcast all she could see. Psylocke was rescued by the New Mutants, and she aided both the New Mutants and the X-Men before officially becoming an X-man herself. It was later revealed that Betsy's body retained robotic eyes, as her consciousness was put into the body of a comatose Japanese assassin. Shortly afterwards, Mojo sent Longshot to Earth where he joined the X-Men as well. Mojo had planned on enslaving the X-Men by turning them into children, briefly succeeding in this as he regressed Magneto, Shadowcat, Wolverine, Rogue, Colossus, Storm, Nightcrawler, plus Psylocke and Longshot to toddlerhood and brainwashed them, but the New Mutants managed to free them and together the two teams forced Mojo to flee again. Still Mojo found out that the adventures of the X-Men shot the audience level to top ratings; which increased his political power.[12][13]
X-Babies[]
Mojo also manipulated the X-Men member Rachel Summers into working for him, but she soon escaped after realizing she was little more than a prisoner.[14] Further setbacks began as Psylocke's broadcasts stopped when the X-Men were presumably killed by the Adversary, but Mojo wanted to have footage of the X-Men to improve his ratings, so one of his assistants came up with a possible solution; create versions that could be controlled.[13] Many different versions of the X-Men appeared before him, but he considered them all failures and ordered their death except the X-Babies. The X-Babies were an immediate success but they rebelled almost immediately and escaped taking Rita with them. [15]
The Agent[]
Mojo hired "The Agent" to capture the X-Babies after they had escaped to Earth-616. The X-Babies were rescued by the mutant Shadowcat and her team, Excalibur. Her teammate, Rachel Summers, freed Rita from the form of the Agent. Though the X-Babies were free, Rita remained bound to Mojo's contract. The X-Babies agreed to return to the Mojoverse in exchange for Rita's freedom. Rita elected to accompany the X-Babies back to the Mojoverse as their guardian.[16]
X-Umentary[]

To compete with a show about chickens, Mojo, with Spiral and the Major and Minor Domos, went to Earth to make a documentary on the X-Men. He was bored of their mundane antics, until the battle in the Danger Room. But they had the camera the wrong way. But the crazy footage was a success bringing in millions of views.[17]
Abcissa[]
Mojo reappeared along with an alternate version of Jubilee. Mojo had kidnapped Jubilee, taking her to the "Big Crunch", the end of time where all matter would collapse. Jubilee agreed to be Mojo's slave if he wouldn't interrupt the Crunch. Older and renamed Abcissa, she kidnapped her younger self and took her to the Crunch..[18] Wolverine appeared with a missile and defeated Mojo. Since Jubilee refused Mojo's offer, Abscissa's existence was nullified.[19]
The Historians of Tales to Come[]
Mojo learned of the rival network overtaking his ratings and decides to air a special in which Spiral hunts down and kills Arize. X-Factor investigate the attack and converge at Arize’s cabin. X-Factor managed to stop Spiral before she could kill Arize. He apologized for the actions of Arize and Spiral, decided to join forces to break Mojo’s endless cycle of oppression.[20]
The Slaves of Destiny[]
Mojo tried to hunt down Arize but he escaped to Earth. He arrived in Afghanistan and the X-Men found him their thanks to Cerebro. But Mojo and his retrieval team arrived to find the fugitive, but they were no match to the X-Men. They retreated back to the Mojoverse. Mojo was humiliated by his team’s embarrassing defeat on live television that he declares he can create his own race of slaves instead of retrieving Arize.[21]

Wizard of X[]
Mojo altered the X-Men into his own version of the 'Wizard of Oz' storyline, Longshot tried to help them down the Yellow Brick Road to find the wizard. Mojo was please over the high ratings to an imprisoned Professor Xavier and Major Domo. We also find that Gambit, Psylocke, Jubilee and Lila Cheney have been also captured by Mojo. As Gambit threatens Mojo with his life, Major Domo shows the X-Men a replay of their capture, in which Dazzler and the X-Men were sent to the Mojoverse by the teleporter Meek. After appearing in the Mojoverse, the X-Men and Dazzler battle Mojo and his security team, with Dazzler attacking Mojo by using her ability to channel sound into light. Mojo then revealed he has captured Longshot and has brainwashed him. Longshot then proceeded to defeat Dazzler. He sent winged versions of Gambit, Psylocke, Jubilee and Lila Cheney to attack them.[22]
Dazzler met with Mojo II he convinced her to lead a direct attack against Mojo. They tried to escape and kill Mojo, but it was protected by an alloy called Mojonium™, she guide him to shot second blast that directly hits Rogue pushing her top sky breaking the Mojonium™ dome, after a short distraction Rogue made a entrance striking Mojo from behind and almost at same time Dazzler and Mojo II “the sequel” come to help, then Mojo shows them that he is powerful, but anyway he was defeated by the X-Men and suddenly disappeared, leaving no trace.[23]
He continued to witness Earth-616 through the eyes of Psylocke. He transmitted all their adventures across the Mojoverse.[24]
The Agent was rebuilt by Mojo and given his own persona. The Agent was sent to sign the hero Wonder Man to a contract, and he succeeded. However, Mojo was enraged at Wonder Man's screen test performance of Shakespeare, and Wonder Man was fired.[25]

Youngblood[]
Mojo arranged for the Youngblood and X-Force to team up to take on The Four.[26] Dazzler was revealed to be the Agent in disguise.[27]
Mitey 'Vengers[]
Mojo never learned from his mistake concerning the X-babies and would create more X-Babies, who also rebelled. Eventually all of the X-Men had X-Baby counterparts on Mojo-world, and they all rebelled against Mojo and fled to an area he could not reach. He also created the Mighty 'Vengers (child versions of the Avengers) to finally stop the X-Babies once and for all. Of course, the Mighty 'Vengers, being essentially of the same moral fabric as their adult counterparts, turned on Mojo and defeated him. Finally, he created toddler versions of all of the Marvel supervillains. These characters are still employed by him although some of them were more intelligent and may even compete with him for dominance of Mojo-world.[28]
Iron Man[]
Needing new stories to gain viewers' attention, Mojo looked through humans with interesting stories to tell. He eventually came across a young boy named Bobby playing pretend with his mother, and becoming interested in his story based on Japanese legends, Mojo barged into their home and abducted the mother. He placed her in holographic reality inhabited with robots which took the form of Bobby's fantasy, where the mother was kept hostage by the Oni Queen. Both Iron Man and War Machine arrived to Bobby's help and learning of what was happening, devised a plan to rescue his mother.
The duo disguised themselves as Japanese warriors and entered the virtual world where Bobby told them through comms his story to help them navigate through the environment. They managed to make their way to the Oni Queen and successfully got hold of Bobby's mother, which derailed the story. This angered Mojo who had been recording all of this and sent his oni-shaped robots to apprehend them. The heroes were able to fend the onis off before successfully escorting the mother back home. The ratings skyrocketed by this event, prompting Mojo to plan for future scenarios involving heroes, though Domo cautioned his master about oversaturating the audience.[29]

Exiles[]
The Exiles made a deal with Mojo: in return for Longshot's help, Mojo would receive broadcasts from all over the Multiverse via the Exiles' Crystal Palace.[30]
Mojo reappeared along with the previously vanished Nocturne and Juggernaut, using a "Jean-Bomb" to turn the X-Men into babies, and after his defeat, a guilt-ridden Juggernaut decided to try to become a better person and left with him.[31]
M-Day[]
Mojo was later asked for help by Beast on creating a cure for after the majority of mutantkind lost their properties following M-Day, likely helping him out of fear of loosing potential material to use for his broadcasting.[32]
Bobby and Sam in Mojoworld[]

"Bobby and Sam in Mojoworld"
Sam Guthrie and Bobby Da Costa were taking some time off when they were whisked to Mojoworld to make movies for Mojo but were able to escape.[33]
Development Hell[]
Wolverine was brought to Mojoverse to star in his very own TV show.[34]
Spider-Man and Wolverine's Adventure in Time![]
Mojo sent Wolverine and Spider-man on an adventure through time, trying to boost his ratings.[35] After being sent from the age of the dinosaurs to a dystopian future, Spider-man and Wolverine confronted Mojo and defeated him before being returned to their own time.[36]
Rocket Raccoon & Groot[]
Mojo was forced to take an extended leave, probably due to rehab, leaving Major Domo in charge of the business. Wanting to keep things in line, Domo activated a robot duplicate of Mojo. They kidnapped both Rocket Raccoon and Groot to use them in their show since the duo were becoming popular. Rocket Raccoon and Groot were able to escape their captor,[37] but the actual Mojo had managed to install a secret camera in Rocket's eye to record his adventures.[38]
Temporal Paradox[]
Rictor was scattered into time by Strong Guy the now ruler of Hell. He wound up on Mojoverse but in the past. He became an unwilling arena gladiator for Mojo who forced him to fight Shatterstar. It was revealed that the Shatterstar had been sent back in time and Arize used his DNA to create Longshot. But another time jump revealed that Shatterstar was the son of Dazzler and Longshot. Creating a continuous loop in time.[39]

"Avengers of the Supernatural"
Martian Transylvania Super Hero Mutant Monster Hunter High School[]
Mojo abducted the Avengers Unity Division from the Avengers Mansion creating the Avengers of the Supernatural. Once in Mojoworld, both teams were made to take part in a reality show called "Martian Transylvania Super Hero Mutant Monster Hunter High School," in which the mutants of the Unity Division were goth outcasts, the rest were football stars and cheerleaders, and the Avengers of the Supernatural were the geeks of the High School. As part of the show, the Scarlet Witch told Johnny Blaze she was pregnant, but the Spirit of Vengeance wasn't under the influence of Mojo, for which it believed it would really have an offspring. Blaze was possessed by the spirit, and as he went "too far out of character," Mojo's influence over the other heroes was broken too. The Ghost Rider started rampaging through Mojoworld looking for sinner souls to punish, and the Avengers attempted to let him do it, until Mojo convinced them to save Mojoworld, as there were numerous innocent lives. From a skyscraper, the Ghost Rider begun submitting the inhabitants of Mojoworld to his Penance Stare. Having saved Mojoworld and having controlled the Spirit of Vengeance, the Avengers of the Supernatural and the Unity Division returned to their universe, where they quickly started a pool party.[40]
X-Force[]
Mojo created the Yellow Eye Agency and had operatives spy on every mutant on the planet. Cable sent Domino to investigate, but was captured and brainwashed by Mojo.[41] X-Force came to her rescue and brought down the agency in the process. She broke free from his control, and she was told the truth about Mojo.[42]
Howard the Duck[]
Mojo decided to create a sitcom based on Howard the Duck's adventures. He used footage of Howard's life to create the show, having hired the Sparkitects Chipp and Jho to use the Sparkitendrils to make events around Howard more exciting. To fill the gaps Mojo had Z'ien to portray Howard while continually abducting actress Lea Thompson to portray Beverly Switzler before returning her home and erasing her memories.[43]
This went on for several years, until Lea, retaining glimpses of her time with a talking duck, went to Howard himself for help with her blackouts. Investigating the matter, Howard, Lea and his assistant Tara Tam followed a trail which led them to a TV studio hidden inside a superhero-themed baby photo studio. Mojo appeared to the trio and explained everything to them, which enraged Lea to the point of attacking him. A fight between them soon ensued, with one of Mojo's Freemen by the name of He-lix sending Lea back home, while Howard and Tara were successfully captured.[44]
Mojo then revealed to Howard the existence of Chipp and Jho who had been screwing his life for views all this time. Although shocked, Howard convinced Mojo that the two Sparkitects had turned on him, since he had managed to learn about the reality show. Mojo decided to attack the Sparkitects' world of Sparkitron as retaliation for their failure to maintain their deal, but as he was busy planning what to do next with Howard, the Duckworldian managed to get himself and Tara free. They fought Mojo and his minions, taking the fight on the streets where they were joined by the Sparkitect duo and the Iron Punisher. Howard confronted Chipp for manipulating his life, but the Sparkitect grabbed hold of him and threatened Mojo to kill his star if he didn't cancel his plan to attack Sparkitron. As Howard fought back against Chipp, Mojo urged his minions to keep fighting the Iron Punisher as the battle was taking a dramatic turn.[45]
This fight culminated in Chipp stabbing Howard and killing him, which left Tara devastated. Blaming Mojo for his death, she took him down and had him arrested. Mojo pleaded to Domo to free him, but his subordinate told him that shows based in prisons were extremely popular right now, causing Mojo to allow the authorities to take him in without objections.[46]
Mojo Worldwide[]

In an effort to increase his ratings following a steep decline,[47] Mojo launched an attack on New York City, teleporting giant spears into Manhattan which captured members of the X-Men, separated them in groups, and placed them in intricate recreations of key periods from their history, all while broadcasting it all across both the Mojoverse and Earth.[47] With Longshot's help, the mutant heroes reunited and teleported to Mojoworld to personally confront Mojo. At the same time, Mojo sent more spears to Earth to terraform New York into Mojoworld.[48]
Mojo was finally stopped after the mentors of the younger X-Men joined his game, Magneto, Polaris and Danger. After catching up with the rest of the mutants, Magneto and Polaris created a massive electromagnetic pulse that shut down Mojo's entire network. The villain and a few of his servants fled to Earth, where they established a new base in the sewers beneath the Empire State Building. While the rest of the world was busy with Mojo's more prominent endeavors, his men had set up an Earth-bound communications network, with plans to begin broadcasting the Mojo News Network.[49]
To start his new show, Mojo planned to kill the new members of the X-Men, believing that they were overshadowing the classic members and ruining the team. However, during his stay on Earth, Mojo developed a crush on a human woman named Ann N. due to her misbehavior. Before attacking the X-Mansion, Mojo tried to introduce himself to her in a cafe shop, but failed. An embarrassed Mojo went to leave, only to be met by the mutant Glob. Although he was able to recognize him as Mojo, Glob wasn't alarmed by the Spineless One's presence and instead wished to befriend him. Glob encouraged Mojo to pursue his feelings and not let his heinous appearance stop him from being accepted. This resonated with Mojo who decided to improve himself. He accompanied Glob to the X-Mansion, but upon their arrival, Major Domo revealed himself to his master and summoned their Half-Sentient to attack the building. Domo feared that Mojo was becoming soft and was doing this to remind his master of who he should be, revealing he had also brought Ann to cut any emotional attachment he developed on Earth. Mojo feigned his compliance and tried to go along with their original plan, but when he saw that their Sentinel hybrid was about to harm Glob and Ann, he at last intervened. Mojo destroyed all of the cameras recording the attack for his show, and took the Half-Sentient down, rescuing Ann and the X-Men. To his surprise, Ann took an immediate liking to him and the two decided to go dating, but not before Mojo swore to the X-Men that he would come back for them.[6]
Mr. and Mrs. X[]
Mojo and his subordinates returned to Mojoworld, and to bolster his ratings he decided to make a show revolving around an X-Men couple. The only still existing X-Men couple he could find were the recently married Rogue and Gambit who he kidnapped and placed in a virtual reality where they had their memories changed. Mojo had the couple go through several adventures of different fictional genres, but soon faced some difficulties as Rogue accidentally killed Gambit. Spiral tried to explain to Mojo that something was wrong with Rogue, but Mojo didn't want to hear it, instead to fix issue he had a construct of Longshot act as an obstacle between the two lovers.[50]
Unfortunately, the issue persisted, with Rogue breaking free every time and killing Gambit's constructs. This enraged Mojo as he began hating her for changing the episodes' endings to tragedy, and wished to continue with the genre reboots. Eventually, Spiral offered to enter the virtual world to punish them, which Mojo agreed. Instead of punishing the couple, Spiral betrayed Mojo and revealed the truth to them, helping them escape their false reality in exchange for Gambit stealing her soul back.[51]
Gambit managed to get hold of the soul fragment which had taken the form of a baby and help the Freemen in liberating themselves from Mojo's rule. Leaving the baby in a nearby safe place, Gambit freed his wife as Spiral kept Mojo's minions at bay, and in that moment the Spineless One himself arrived to prevent them from leaving.[52] He fought the heroes as the Freemen arrived to revolt against him. Rogue was able to momentarily incapacitate Mojo by looking through his memories of him and Ann, instilling doubt in him about actually changing for the better. As Spiral regained her soul and with that her full power, Rogue absorbed both her's and Gambit's energies to blow Mojo's base. In spite of all of this, Mojo survived and squashed the short-lived rebellion.[53]
Spider-Ham[]
At some point, Mojo had discovered Larval Earth and seeing the wacky happenings of this reality, he saw an opportunity to broadcast this reality on his network to garner views. When Kang the Conqueror of Earth-6309 attempted to destroy that Earth after being baffled by existence of Kangaroo the Conqueror, Mojo intervened by corrupting him, turning Kang into his puppet. However, he allowed Kang to continue with this plan as Kangaroo recruited the help Spider-Ham, Spider-Man and the local heroes to fight him, forming a grand crossover event that raised viewership. Following Kang's defeat, Mojo revealed himself and told the heroes that it was time for Larval Earth to be rebooted in order to make it less cutesy and more edgy.[54]
He kidnapped all of Larval Earth's denizens to use them in his new shows for modern teens. As Spider-Ham was the most popular of them all, Mojo offered him to go back home where he would be the only star in his own show, in exchange for allowing him to use the other animals as he wished. Spider-Ham feigned to agree with him, and asked Mojo how would a show revolving around Black Colt work. Not knowing Black Colt's capabilities, Mojo demanded him to talk, which resulted in his voice destroying their containment stasis. All of the animals fought Mojo, until Kangaroo summoned the Kang Collective who arrested the Spineless One for killing one of their own.[55]
X-Factor[]
Mojoworld recently began the business of livestreaming, with mutants rising in popularity, especially with the formation of the independent mutant nation of Krakoa. Several mutants went to Mojoworld to seek fame, such as most subscribed and top-ranked live-streamer, the most notable being Wind Dancer and Adam-X. However, their fame caused them to be trapped in their celebrity status with no way out.[56] Wind Dancer saw an opportunity to finally escape when her audience expressed their wish for to die live. Following her death, Mojo arranged for Arize to dissect her body in order to clone her and provide more entertainment for his viewers. Shatterstar informed the newly-established X-Factor of Wind Dancer's demise and worked hard to stall the cloning process.[57]
In order to investigate her murder, X-Factor had to participate in Headshot TV, since it allowed the audience to vote on contestants so they could be granted them entry into Mojoworld, but were barred due to not having a sponsor. Mojo appeared before them with the offer to be their sponsor, as mutants had become profitable. X-Factor questioned him about the business in Mojoworld, and he explained how mutants had become extremely popular and Wind Dancer died while competing for the spot of top streamer.[58] He left them with one of the other most popular streamers, Spiral, who helped X-Factor in retrieving the body to allow her to be resurrected. This caused X-Factor to be banned from Mojoworld.[57]
X-Factor soon planned to rescue all of the trapped streamers from Mojoworld. They recruited the help of the New Mutants and Dazzler's band to form a rescue squad which would infiltrate Mojoworld and sabotage its streaming business. Dazzler and her band performed in Mojoworld to keep Mojo and the denizens distracted, which allowed the other mutant teams to destroy the clone tanks and rescue the streamers. They then attacked and trapped Mojo himself, and offered him a contract: if he stopped taking advantage of mutantkind he would not only be allowed to continue his business but also become partners with Krakoa, as Mojo would lend his technology to the nation.[59] Mojo was forced to sign the contract, with Wind Dancer being tasked to make sure Mojoworld respected their agreement.[60]
Fall of X[]
Following Orchis' attack on Krakoa, Mojo formed MIJ-MOJ to continue his streaming business, but needing to promote it throughout the galaxy he made a deal with Lila Cheney to perform for the opening night. The performance was such a success that Mojo tried to change the deal and force her to perform again. Lila refused and immediately teleported away. This act of defiance enraged Mojo who as revenge decided to abduct her alien fan base known as the Lin-atics and turn them into engagement bots to increase viewership. Noticing the absence of her fans, Lila asked the X-Men's newest recruit, Ms. Marvel, to help her rescue the Lin-atics from Mojo.
She disguised Ms. Marvel as a fellow musician named "Chord" and together went back to Mojoworld where they agreed to perform for Mojo. Beginning their work, MIJ-MOJ's users quickly became fond of "Chord", causing Mojo to solely focus on her and have star in all of his music videos. As Ms. Marvel kept Mojo busy, Lila sneaked through Mojo Studios and eventually found her fans strapped to machines and under hypnosis. Upon freeing them, she was soon found out as Mojo arrived to confront her. Both Lila and Ms. Marvel managed to take him down, but in that moment, Mojo injected the former with Blightswill which temporarily neutralized her powers. Ms. Marvel quickly used her powers to launch Mojo far away, giving everyone enough time to escape.[61]
NYX[]

Mojo as Mr. Friend
As mutantkind became scattered once again after Krakoa departed Earth, Mojo saw an opportunity to gather useful mutants he could use to garner more attention, and with that more power. Puppeteering an android to hide his true identity, Mojo began posing on Earth as a man known only as Mr. Friend and formed a criminal group that sought out lost mutants, approaching them with the promise of a place where they could be accepted. He and his group were successful in garnering multiple unsuspecting mutants like Local and Fauna,[7] who he encouraged to steal stuff to use in his plans. Wolverine took notice of these mutant abductions and went to investigate it. After running some errands for Mr. Friend, which included burglarizing an Essex building to steal the Mutant Growth Hormone, Wolverine finally met him, immediately discovering his true identity as Mojo. Mojo told her how he planned to use mutants to his advantage before driving her away from his base.[62]
Mojo eventually sent Local to use his technopathic powers to take over Dazzler's upcoming concert and allow him to stream his sound waves to take control of the minds of spectators. Fearing that Mojo would kill him if he didn't obey, Local did as he was asked and attacked the concert. However, he was confronted by Wolverine and her friends who attempted to convince him to leave Mojo. As Local hesitated, Mojo took control of him and through him took over the concert's equipment which allowed him to mind-control everyone present. Fortunately, his control was broken by the intervention of Kiden Nixon, freeing everyone. This included Local who, despite what had transpired, returned to Mojo. Mojo deduced that Local had become too obsessed with their business to leave, and declared to him that it was time to hurt their audience.[63]Personality

Powers
Outside of his home dimension, Mojo generates an anti-life field that alters weather patterns and kills natural organisms. Mojo can also:
- Project concussive force bolts, can control the minds of others, increases his power through television ratings and can teleport interdimensionally, but could no longer travel from one dimension to another dimension as freely as he used to, due to Mojo stripping away Spiral's inter-dimensional powers from her and plunging Spiral back in Earth-616.[64]

Notes
- After his introduction in the Longshot series, writer Ann Nocenti planned for the character to go on and become a villain to Doctor Strange, but since she ended up writing for the New Mutants she decided to make him an X-Men villain.[67]
Trivia
- The inspiration for Mojo came from media theorists Noam Chomsky, Edward S. Herman, Marshall McLuhan, and Walter Lippmann's ideas on how television was causing negative consequences to human society.[68] While the wires holding Mojo's eyelids open were inspired by an interview with A Clockwork Orange actor Malcolm McDowell on the Late Night with David Letterman show, who described how similar eye clamps, which were used in the movie, scarred his corneas which artist Arthur Adams thought was perfect for Mojo.[67]
- Mojo apparently suffered from drug addiction as he once took a leave for rehab.[37]
- To Wolverine, Mojo smells like formaldehyde, liming agent, chromium and freshly tanned leather.[62]
