Keith Bayard (Earth-616)

Captain Keith Bayard helped lead Delvadian rebels during his service in the United States Marine Corps during a Devaldian Civil War against the Progressive Party's regime. The war lasted ten years but they were victorious.^[2]

Forty years later while having served six to eight years with the United States Foreign Service as an American diplomat in Delvadia, an ambassador was kidnapped by a revolutionary now calling himself el Condor.^[1] El Condor used the identity of a famous revolutionary soldier to further his own goals. The soldier in question was from a Devaldian Civil War that took place in the 1930s who's statue was erected in the Devaldian capital of San Palo after his death death rallied the Devaldian forces into victory.^[3][2] Jerome Villers a friend of Bayard took the position of ambassador after the kidnapping but was soon kidnapped himself.

Bayard tired of the red tape decided to put together a group of renegades to combat el Condor that was comprised of service men from his unit as well as rebels such as Chino Guardio to combat el Condor's forces. During a skirmish Bayard's renegades were defeated however and he himself was taken as a political prisoner.^[1]

Daredevil witnessing the capture of Bayard was captured after finding the injured Chino who was used as a hostage in order for Daredevil to surrender. While at the Condor's camp Daredevil escaped and untied Bayard allowing the two to combat the revolutionaries. El Condor was eventually killed by the fallen statue of the original Condor that was stuck by lightning, putting an end to his revolution and allowing Villers, Guardio, and Bayard to receive medical aid from the incoming militia.^[4]
