History

Fritz von Bock (Earth-616) from Marvel Mystery Comics Vol 1 42 001

Fritz von Bock disguised as Dr Noon

Fritz von Bock was a member of the Nazis during World War II. In the spring of 1943 he and his gang of spies worked within the United States to steal government secrets. To this end, he took the place of Doctor C.J. Noon. With the doctor's credentials he quarantined members of the science and defense sectors in order to steal secret designs and formulas. By keeping the authorities out with fear of contracting smallpox, he managed to eliminate his targets and steal their secrets.

When he attempted to do so at the home of Colonel Tarley, the screams from Tarley's wife attracted the attention of the Angel. Turned away because of the quarantine notice and policeman on the door, the Angel instead began to track down Dr. Noon, who supposedly signed off on the notice. He went to check on the doctor at his office and found the real Dr. Noon chloroformed in his closet. Von Bock and his men then walked in on the hero and Nazi spy used his cunning to beat the Angel. They tied him and Dr Noon up and went to steal the Hall Rapidfire Gun invented by Mr James Hall.

The Angel broke free and stopped Fritz von Bock before he could torture the secret out of Hall. With Von Bock defeated, he was unmasked and turned over to the authorities.[1]

His subsequent fate is unknown.
