History
At the Hellfire Club, Mastermind was able to overpower the X-Men and fled. He encountered Captain America in the alley and knocked him out with a brick. He encountered the Avengers but tricked them with his illusions and escaped into a bar. He ran into Magneto and other villains who attacked him, Mastermind jumped out the window where he was found by Sebastian Shaw who picked him in his car and invited him to join the Hellfire Club. This reality was experienced by Mastermind of the Prime Marvel Universe as paranoid delusions caused by the Black Queen.[1]
